Minelab says the Nox 800 coils will interchange with the X Terra Pro. So are the X Pro coils interchangeable to a Nox 800 and properly work and function correctly in single frequency's and in multifrequency. Thanks

X pro EDGE EFFECTS Just got a new X pro and bit on it due ti the 12x9 inch coil. so far ok but notice in lower sensitivity setting the toe or rear of coil showing edge efects and give a much lower tone until you have the center of coil directly over the target. OK BUT in trashy areas this unit pinging like a Chinese slot machine. I replaced the coil with a coiltek 9x6 off my nox and it did much better with the edge effects and smaller coil has more wiggle room and sure the 6 inch would be even better & have a cleaner tone to lock in without all slowing down and weed your way to locate that sweet targets. Maybe more time in the field with the X I will overcome and just ignore those fringe signal and targets center is requiring being more precision. Best in Hunting AC

Now that I have my new Legend and still waiting for spring to show up for some serious field time. I have the Legend Pro package and was amazed on a full-blown accessories package. One of the best bangs for your Buck! I see the legend is getting a face lift and nice to know they finally figured out the LG30 as it will be the stock coil and making some changes and upgrades. The round 11" coil is well built but is a boat anchor. The Legend is a Beast and very impressed with its performance and trimming off some weight will be nice. I like to point out a few quirks. Which Nokta could be improved on. The 6-inch coil is great hunter for trashy areas, but the shaft bracket is located at the rear of coil and makes the coil awkward. the angle while setting down to dig has a tendency to roll if on uneven ground. And search angle position is always making adjustment to level it out. If centered bracket, it would be much more friendly user without constant adjustments. It's great that Nokta offers a wide selection of coils and one size they don't offer for the LEGEND is the 8.5" DD: but available for the Simplex! Yes, it round and overall, it is one size that still has advantages in moderate trash and has the punch on deeper targets. I am wishing that Nokta would consider making this coil for Legend. Ya another tool but is one size that would have it place in my arsenal and all those diehards. I would like to say; THANK YOU to Andy Sabisch for his Legend Handbook. Well done, Andy. Yes the 4 inch coil will work and trash separation is great and don't look for a lot of depth and can get maybe 4-5 inches on a penny but under bleachers and find that small micro jewelry is excellent. with the Mojave Good Hunting

Best 2 boots I ever found is the merrell hiking boots that are water proof and the Australian boot called the Red Back! I wore the merrells back in 2005 and best boot ever for western OZ tough terrain. Only metal is the 2 eyelets and a small tag saying waterproof. Best when in rough stuff and running a Zed hot is a welcome boot. Better yet if you can find a pair of the red back as they have no metal whatsoever. Tough boot to find in Western OZ and found mine at Finders Keepers in Kalgoorlie. Oz shoe size is one size bigger than here in the US and you need to go one size smaller. Both are great shoes and will always wearing a new set of merrell due that living 6 months in WA. outback, my merrells did not let me down. Only bad thing with the merrell is the unique tread foot print and it makes it easy to follow by others following you to your patch!

Mojave is a great little detector and YES it will find the Yellow as well. If you're ever in a pinch and working in some of the dry wash piles, it is capable of zinging out sub gram nuggets. Not like a Fisher GB, but is capable of finding nuggets. I did some testing in the Gold Basin area with the Mojave. I found the 5.75 concentric and even the little 4" is somewhat an eye opener for such a inexpensive detector. It works! AC

Howdy Pat! Just remember those sweet spots and take your time and concentrate on those area we looked at and You know the ground and you have to get your loop over it. Do me a favor! I am glad to know that the ZED is capable of hunting salty ground here in USA . WESTERN Australia grounds are so extreme that each new area hunting opened up new challenges.All I can say is that serious hunter needed 4 things.. a ZED ,5000,2300 and a good walco pick. I won't get into about the Sandstone W.A.area with all the banded iron ore.Its the other extreme of the spectrum.

Yep some areas of lower salt content you can detune and operate the ZED. However in the land of down under you are wasting your time that due that areas like the great salt lake Austin out of Cue W.A. is totally unforgiving and even areas away front the lakes are zed killers. The ZED mimic a PI unit in sound but acts more like a super VLF on steroids. A 5000 with a 14"DD will shine better than a ZED in salts. Another problem is after a good rain in the(outback) the ZED picks up salt pockets near bushes and an other ghost hole! Certain grounds that contain high amount of salts will certainly think you have a deep one and unfortunately a lot of digging for nothing, but use something like a backup 5000 to check hole to saves a lot of wasted time and digging. maybe here in the USA is nothing compared to wonderful bad and nasty ground from the land of plenty of Yellow.

Greetings. The Gpz 7000 is virtually a dead horse in ground that are saturated with a high salt content. Either salt lakes or just grounds that have a high mixture with salts will give the ZED a bad case of the howlees. The tracking on the ZED is slow and unforgiving in salts. Over highly mineralization the ZED works great and proper adjustments it will do what's it designed for to find Gold. For those who are going to be searching very salt saturated soil or lake beds then you may want to stick with your 4500 or 5000's. The Gpz will find gold down to a 0.05 gram and does better and deeper, but it does have it short fall but one hell of a good detector. AC

I shooting for the new electronics I all I can say that it better work and pull out the yellow better than anything else out there. I am looking for a vehicle to purchase that is suited for the outback and soon to arrive in WA next month. I will give my ZED the ultimate test in all that fine Red ground. With all the pros and cons said the ZED I have chosen to follow minelab new generation as I know in the past each new series has always supercedes the the their previous model. So I hope that holds true with the ZED. best in hunting AC
