  1. Oh man.. if you are right then i need to relearn the ferrous stuff again on manticore. When we swing over a nail or iron (on air test) what's the numbers mean though? I agree but I think there are too many patterns on the 2d screen depending on what other 'junk' and/or different depth with the desired target. I tried to take mental note of 4 traces of 0, 90, 180 and 270 off a target that I think its iffy and worth to investigate. Then I thought for this to work I have to start with 0 degree parallel with true north every time lol.. so I ditched the plan. Its faster just to dig it out but I notice some 'behavior' pattern on the 2d screen like if the desired target close to ferrous, very deep iron.. its just i dont trust the 2d screen yet... Do you think if some one fully master the 2d trace, he/she can run the manticore with 0-0 ferrous limit and just discriminate using the trace? lol
  2. After a few outing of getting familiar with the mantebellum, I went to a spot that I have detect for several times with the 800. The name of the hunt on this particular spot is depth... Its the same spot as in my post of I retrieved few more coins from this spot but 2 of them were in stable negative numbers with 180 degree rotations.. usually deep irons the negative numbers read is all over the place and cant pinpoint on the same location but these 2 signal are solid. Just wondering if others experienced the same thing.. or more accurately I'm looking for any data/finding/info or pattern that we can use from the iron number (-1 to -99)
  3. Hi man, since you one of the few guys that can run the mandimore full throttle, would love to know (if you have the time of course) if you can test out what is the lowest sensitivity on deepest target detected (planted target) by the sensitivity of 30 on your ground and what's your opinion on mandigore sensitivity architecture/structure? ( I don't know the right word to ask.. lol) as i observed its different than equinox sensitivity.. the mandible sensitivity were like pre-amp gain I think if that makes sense
  4. Its like a faint electronics humming sound with different pitch when changing the mode.. I checked it when you brought it up.. but the control box really need to be close to the ear to hear it.. I think it has something to do with frequencies change when in different mode I guess...
  5. Mine on 2 by the way.. max sensitivity prone to falsing even when I touch the tip to the ground to balance it out
  6. No problem here for me.. my problem with the trx are its not waterproof anymore and I need a new case lol Hopefully it will keep working forever... ,I have 2 profind 35 ( got 1 for free with the manticore) and I don't use em that much..
  7. I need to know moreeee about your finding 😘 ... will be waiting for your thorough mandigore review
  8. That's not fair for dealers that has taken the pre order list..
  9. I'm assuming the iron was planted maybe for some sort of test bed when he wrote " Well we now know deep iron 13'' ..
  10. Stumbled upon this video at work.. It makes me think if I can employ/valid (lowering the recovery speed to 2 or 3 on the manticore) as 1 of methods to identify/check on deep iron. I cant go out to test it out myself due to work stuff this month 😒.. Would love to know your opinion or experience on this. Thank you in advance..
  11. Yeah.. the screw is one thing.. the plastic holder thingy is another.. already talked to Minelab reseller that I bought the Manicure from.. waiting for feedback on spare part
  12. Have you tried the Normal vs enhanced audio theme? I don't know it is my imaginations or what, but the gold sound better in enhanced vs normal for All Tones. Better ''zing' sounding than say.. corroded pull tab, fresh drop pull tab sound the same though..
  13. I think its just fell off, don't know when and where..
  14. Hope minelab will put in ground mineralization's meter feature on future update.. at least we have some kind of indicator and maybe can react accordingly... For USD 1599.99999 detector it should have that meter like deus 2 at least..
  15. These 2 coins were not touching the middle line, usually they are.. the dot were in between center line and lower bottom ferrous region.. Its copper coin damaged by fertilizer
  16. I am thinking of using Deus 2 BH-01 bone conductions waterproof headphones.. modified using equinox headphone connector like this one.. Is it doable? Will be using it for water hunting and inland hunting, need to hear the surrounding while detecting.. Sorry if this has been suggested before..
  17. Sorry didn't gave a lot more information's.. its the instability and pain when walking on uneven surface.. pain when in the process of kneeling, pain from the process of kneeling to standing up.. I think I will go to the medical supply store see how its goes.. Thank you for the answer and suggestions
  18. I'm thinking something like these.. is it too much for metal detecting?.. I mean the comfort, the sweat, long hours of use.. or
  19. My knee start to sore/pain due to motorcycle accident at young age.. I think my acl was torn due the accident or something if I remember correctly lol.. looking for outdoor knee guard/brace to use when metal detecting.. any suggestions? Thank you in advance
  20. I can run sensitivity of 30s in a few places too.. but didn't need too because lower sensitivity also can detect the same target.. minus the headache.. I bet the 8x5 inch coil will be hot seller for the manicure.. seems like everybody waiting for that coil.. including me lol.. I missed the 6' coil on the equinox for the freshwater/river hunting ... gliding through the stream and rocks... sold it to a good friend of mine for 80 buck.. kinda regret it ... lol...
  21. No overload icon for me too.. don't know what will trigger the overload.. tested on the fridge.. sand scoop.. shovel..
  22. First manticore flooded in my country last week .. The guy is a waist deep water hunter at the saltwater beach..
  23. For me I wont run my manticore in teens.. its make the very deep non ferrous target IDing as iron and I scare it will missed target entirely.. I only done the test only once though when I first got the machine. My sweet spot is running the sensitivity of 27, recovery of 4 if the ground permits.. but target detected with the sensitivity of 27 can still be heard with the sensitivity of 22.. it just the tones/signal clarity is not 'satisfying' enough for me when using speaker..
