  1. Stumbled upon this video at work.. It makes me think if I can employ/valid (lowering the recovery speed to 2 or 3 on the manticore) as 1 of methods to identify/check on deep iron. I cant go out to test it out myself due to work stuff this month 😒.. Would love to know your opinion or experience on this. Thank you in advance..
  2. Yeah.. the screw is one thing.. the plastic holder thingy is another.. already talked to Minelab reseller that I bought the Manicure from.. waiting for feedback on spare part
  3. Have you tried the Normal vs enhanced audio theme? I don't know it is my imaginations or what, but the gold sound better in enhanced vs normal for All Tones. Better ''zing' sounding than say.. corroded pull tab, fresh drop pull tab sound the same though..
  4. I think its just fell off, don't know when and where..
  5. Hope minelab will put in ground mineralization's meter feature on future update.. at least we have some kind of indicator and maybe can react accordingly... For USD 1599.99999 detector it should have that meter like deus 2 at least..
  6. These 2 coins were not touching the middle line, usually they are.. the dot were in between center line and lower bottom ferrous region.. Its copper coin damaged by fertilizer
  7. I am thinking of using Deus 2 BH-01 bone conductions waterproof headphones.. modified using equinox headphone connector like this one.. Is it doable? Will be using it for water hunting and inland hunting, need to hear the surrounding while detecting.. Sorry if this has been suggested before..
  8. Sorry didn't gave a lot more information's.. its the instability and pain when walking on uneven surface.. pain when in the process of kneeling, pain from the process of kneeling to standing up.. I think I will go to the medical supply store see how its goes.. Thank you for the answer and suggestions
  9. I'm thinking something like these.. is it too much for metal detecting?.. I mean the comfort, the sweat, long hours of use.. or
  10. My knee start to sore/pain due to motorcycle accident at young age.. I think my acl was torn due the accident or something if I remember correctly lol.. looking for outdoor knee guard/brace to use when metal detecting.. any suggestions? Thank you in advance
  11. I can run sensitivity of 30s in a few places too.. but didn't need too because lower sensitivity also can detect the same target.. minus the headache.. I bet the 8x5 inch coil will be hot seller for the manicure.. seems like everybody waiting for that coil.. including me lol.. I missed the 6' coil on the equinox for the freshwater/river hunting ... gliding through the stream and rocks... sold it to a good friend of mine for 80 buck.. kinda regret it ... lol...
  12. No overload icon for me too.. don't know what will trigger the overload.. tested on the fridge.. sand scoop.. shovel..
  13. First manticore flooded in my country last week .. The guy is a waist deep water hunter at the saltwater beach..
  14. For me I wont run my manticore in teens.. its make the very deep non ferrous target IDing as iron and I scare it will missed target entirely.. I only done the test only once though when I first got the machine. My sweet spot is running the sensitivity of 27, recovery of 4 if the ground permits.. but target detected with the sensitivity of 27 can still be heard with the sensitivity of 22.. it just the tones/signal clarity is not 'satisfying' enough for me when using speaker..
  15. I hope minelab do something on manticore performance at hot ground in future update..
  16. Yeah... for me its coverage too, no depth differences. The first thing I sold to top up manticore purchase..
  17. They marketed the 50% more power than the equinox to justify 50% more expensive than the equinox? 😆
  18. I don't know about the scaling, but I do know that my nox 800 with sensitivity of 25, recovery speed of 4 IDing targets as iron, which manticore with sensitivity of 28, recovery speed of 4 ID the same target as nonferrous (jumpy ID). Now manticores at my country gets a bad rep among other detectorist due to bigger and deeper holes and they jokingly said that the manticore is no longer allowed to enter the sites 😆
  19. yeah.. I hope they will give us few custom setup program slot in future update and can change the name from custom 1, 2, 3 etc to whatever we like.. and the backlight setting 🙄.. I am jealous with nox 900 red backlight.. I want one too..
  20. sniff sniff.. smells like new 😁.. hope u like the full tones + rich + all metal..
  21. Got a little bit of something on the left side though
  22. I show them all the find, usually they already have better conditions stuff. If they interested in my finding, a meeting will be arrange by them
  23. Will do, Thank you for the advise 😁 I'm sorry that's not my intent. The 600 years old coinage was the 'local' who built the port/fort. The 400+ years old coinage was circulated during colonization's who took over the fort by force in 1511. Majority of these coinage were tin coin until early 1700 which is copper, silver coinage. For me I am more interested in the time period of 1400 to 1600 because of its history and time constrain. Heck for the most time I didn't even care what coinage/items that the ground gave me as long as I can go out detecting and enjoy the sweet sound of repeatable signal 😆. Will do too. I will spent a little bit of time to test between each modes at that site. Thanks man Thank you for the Info. This make me wonder, if lets say the low conductor mode can work at the max sensitivity lets say 25,and the High conductor program can work at the sensitivity of lets say 29 (less prone to EMI and ground reactions) , does the High conductor mode can detect coin #1 much more deeper or equal (theoretically) than the Low conductor mode?
  24. 😁 more accurately is what mode on Manticore will you use if : a) Your Main targets coin ID's at: i) 15 to 22 (coins dated around 600 years) ii) 45 to 55 (these coins are around 400 years) iii) 60 to 75 (dated around 300 years that doesn't hold much value to you but collectors interested in it) b) You've got 6 hours windows to detect c) The site is mineralized and conductive due its location near the sea. d) The site was heavily detected with many type of metal detectors over the years e) its a time/distances constrain site Would love to know your take on these with little information's/experienced on you regarding the manticore 😊.
