  1. What did you get her for your anniversary?
  2. Note: if gravels are dry, loose and non-cohesive the geoprobe drilling method may not work. Samples will just fall out of the sleeves and holes will collapse on themselves.
  3. If the gold is deposited along with black sands (magnetite), then Steve is correct (magnetometer). There is a hydrolic push punch, track rig called a geoprobe, which could be used with a solid point to first locate the buttom (Bedrock at depth), then utilize macrocore sampler which is attached to the bottom rod, to collect samples at selected depth intervals, in an acrylic sleeve. Be sure to use a core catcher with each sleeve used, so the sample won't fall out. Once all the sleeved samples are collected at various depths, you can pan each sample to determine gold concentrations. This would allow to make a small stratigraphic map of the subsurface and gold concentrations in that area. A good crew could do to that area in one day! $2000/per my day.
  4. Hmm...thanks, I will wait as well....great info!
  5. Awesome!!...... ...and thank you Steve for allowing GM to present this rare journal to us, on the worlds best metal detecting and prospecting platform! During the winter months as you know, when there is 3 feet of snow on the ground, subzero temperatures for 3 weeks straight, Covid on the loose, can't metal detect, can't chase down nuggets, a rare journal as this, is a golden inspiration and joy to read this cold winter!
  6. Thank you so much GM, this journal and Jed's story is amazing and an extreme joy to read. Thanks for your hard work to bring forth this incredible journal! Maybe this is Will's gold dance! Hehehe.... โ˜บ๏ธ
  7. I hope they get the killers soon, if they don't could be big trouble for the claim!!
