Equinox 900 Speak Issue

Hiya!

Can anyone help.. I use my Equinox in the sea, so the detector is always submerged, never goes over 1 meter in depth. 

The detector has been fine for about 3 months until now, even though the speaker volume is on its loudest setting of 25, the speaker volume coming out is very very low. I tried a remedy i found on youtibe in relation to the equinox 800, by taking out the battery cap and putting it back on slowly which is meant to make it burp but no success. 

Is there any other way in which i can get the speaker back to normal please?

how do you maintain the detector every time you get out of the water? Maybe you could give us a clue of whats happening...

Never used the speaker in research, always and only headphones, in the Minelabs I have had I have always covered the speaker area with two inch wide electrician's tape, this to avoid future problems with the speaker.
