Rutus Versa First Hunts & Thoughts

Good dig JCR....That site you are working looks pretty far from being played out.

There certainly are still targets to dig.  All the clean signals are pretty much gone, but things are still hidden in the iron. The challenges of iron & higher minerals make the site a very good learning environment, that, and it is very scenic & peaceful. The place feels old.

The new NC 3.7 update has been made available on the Rutus web site.

It includes better Unmasking capabilities in Iron, especially for low conductors.  More accurate/understandable ID Graph response. Bottle cap filter now available for all Modes. Improved Small Target Boost control & adjustable display screen Contrast.   The Users Manual has also been nicely revised with more detailed operation descriptions.

I believe Rutus intends to continue improving the units performance & capabilities in future updates.

The previous Rutus Atrex model also has a new update available that includes improvements made in the Versa's development.

I never thought I would do YouTube but here it is.  A video I made on the now released NC 3.7 software. The emphasis is on the Versa's performance in mineralized soil & the units Hot Rock adjustment. Others have put out better videos but there is not much information out there showing the special considerations that need to be taken to improve detector performance in mineralized ground.

Your link just bring us back to this topic, not to the video.

Sorry. All this kind of stuff is new & unfamiliar to me.  You should be able to Copy and Paste the link into your Browser. You can also search You Tube for the channel, "Red Dirt Detecting".  I will learn as I go.     Please see my Post below.
