Having Trouble Identifying Something I Found Metal Detecting

Hi, I was metal detecting the other day in Northern Connecticut, and found something that sets off the metal detector, but I don't know what it is, it has some type of rock stuck to it with some crystal structures, and it had a bit of some kind of metal wire running through it, it's about 4 to 5 inches long, I'll attach some images below, thanks for the help.

Since I’m dumb as an ox, what’s the difference between that and a horseshoe? Size (hard to tell in photo)? The way it tapers?

I've got to tell you boys that's one sorry lookin pork chop.

Heres a nice succulent one.

A little tough on the choppers but overall pretty good gnawing.
