  1. yeah I was wondering about that, what the heck is a Gyro Sensor
  2. Have never tried a Quest Detector before but I will have to admit these two sound intriguing to me. May have to get one just to see if they work which is all that matters to me, just like the Legend it just works and works pretty dang good
  3. not blaming Nokta at all I am just saying the speaker issue should have never happened, Nokta has been a stand up company from the start, and made necessary repairs I still believe the speaker issue is because at max volume the speaker is being over driven, because at a setting of 6 on the Legend the speaker is vary loud with no need to be ran at 6 when using just the external speaker
  4. So yours could have vary well been one of the earlier versions and the dealer updated to 1.09 not sure when the updated speakers started going into the Legend but, I believe it was 1.08 which was quickly changed to 1.09 so lets call it 1.09 if you look at the manual that came with yours you will know if it was an earlier version that was updated or not the version is rite on the front cover of the included manual if your legend was 1.09 from the factory then it will say it on the cover of the manual, i do know of a couple of legend users that just a few weeks ago received a version 1.04 Legend the 1.04 version was the vary first Legends that hit the U.S and you are correct the speakers should have never been an issue to begin with even in the first version Legends
  5. Well my point is if yours came with 1.09 from the factory, and the speaker went out it should not have if they actually upgraded the speakers. Like I said I do not max my volume out when detecting with the external speaker but I do when using the wireless headphones because the threshold does not work correctly with wireless headphones unless you do max the volume on the Legend, at least it does not on either of my two Legends, either way the speakers should have never started blowing and yes I agree with you that at least Nokta will fix them when the do blow, its just irritating to spend good money on a detector and then the speaker blows
  6. My first legend was in the first batch that came to the U.S so it was 1.04 so I know it has one of the first speakers that was used, but I have had absolutely no issues, I also do not run my volume maxed out on my Legend when just using the external speaker, when I am using the headphones i do run max volume in the Legend, again I have had no issues with the speaker at all My second Legend which I purchased to try to teach my wife how to detect was 1.05 and I had the dealer I purchased it from to update to 1.07 my second one I have also had no issues with the speaker quitting, but again I do not run either of my legends at max volume unless I am using headphones.
  7. was it updated to 1.09 by you or the Dealer you purchased from, and you can tell if it was updated to 1.09 or was already 1.09 from the factory, the manual that came with your Legend will say what version it was from the factory, if the manual says any thing other than 1.09 on the face of the manual then your Legend is most likely an earlier version and was updated to 1.09 the reason I am questioning you is because from my understanding Legends that came with 1.09 from the factory were supposed to have the newly updated speaker in them and should not be going out according to Nokta
  8. What firmware version was your Legend since you only received it a couple of weeks ago ???
  9. Its funny until it happens to you then it is not so funny anymore, just like my son I wanted to laugh but held it back and then wanted to cry because it was my son, that's just the Dad in me and wanting to do everything I can to protect my own
  10. not a trip my son will ever forget that's for sure he was 11 or 12 now in his 40s now
  11. I remember a fishing trip I took my son and a friend on in Arizona one night, we put the boat in the water, tied it off to a dock and proceeded to load our poles and things in the boat after we parked the truck and boat trailer, so we were going back and forth from the truck to the boat and my son ran into one of those cactus, then he started running I grabbed him and he was covered with those Cholla needless to say fishing trip ruined, we were pulling those out of him the rest of the night and half the next day, he was covered in them, and he was hurting for a few days after that fiasco, that was at Lake Pleasant in Arizona
  12. Just ordered some, I have some knee pads but I hate the ones I have because I am always having to pull them up from my ankles before I get on the ground to dig, So i have been looking at the various hinged knee pads for about 4 months now when I watced your video I had to ask and your varifying they stay in place was what I wanted thanks for the reply
  13. do you have a brand name or link for them
  14. What I have noticed you want to use it sparingly if set to high you loose coins which is understandable, the only bottle caps I have found that the BC does nothing on is caps like Corona and similar the steel ones the BC changes the way the steel caps sound so they do not sound so great, I set mine at 2-3 usually on 2 just to make the caps have a not dig sound, I did set it at max once just to see what affect that would have on UN buried targets and lets just say I will not be running the BC maxed out LOL same with the GS (Ground Suppressor) because I have not quite figured out at just what setting on the GS is to much
  15. where is the video I need some good laugh's LOL
  16. The things we go through to get those little yellow bits LOL I do have a question are your Knee pads jointed and is so where did you get them also
  17. I do understand what you are saying about using the rite tool for the task at hand, and it is only one video, hopefully there will be some more test video's come out that are real world testing and not in some planted bed, heck no one that I know of even has either of the new coils to even try yet so we shall wait and see
  18. I am really on the fence about the new 9.5x6 inch coil for the legend, watched a video by History Revisited doing a comparison test between the little 6 inch round coil and the new 9.5x6 coil and the 6 inch round coil out performed the 9.5x6 here is the Video
  19. when I sell something or purchase something used from someone I like to have a phone conversation and sometimes a few phone conversations, if a person is unwilling to give their phone number then I pretty much know they are trying to scam me and I then stop all communication with that person, communication is everything to me and if a person is unwilling to communicate then most likely they are trying to scam you.
  20. I have had no issues on my end either, but I will say if you think it could prevent the spammers from getting in you have to do what you do Mr Hershbach to protect your site
  21. first thing I would get out of detecting parks with the GM1000 find an area in the mountains a stream or something The GM1000 is a gold detector, yes it will hit on coins and other things but that is not what the GM1000 was meant for.

Levels 1-5 in the software version 1.09 is now equal to 2-6 in this version. Level 1 in this version is now the reduced level. 3.
