I am having an issue with the ground balance on my Legend, I have watched Dilek's last video where she states the ground balance is working correctly, but I do not feel it is in my case I have re-installed the 1.09 update 7-9 times because of what I am seeing, my ground balance values run anywhere from the 50s to the 90s which most of the time it is somewhere in the mid to high 80s I have ground balanced with two other detectors several times, just to compare, when I start seeing the issue arise with the legend the Simplex Plus and the AT Pro both run fairly close in the GB Numbers, the Legend also after each re install of the 1.09 reads close to the simplex and AT Pro as far as GB values, here is where I think there is a problem with the Legends Ground Balance, after each re install the GB number's appear to be correct but with in a few days what I start to see is the Legend's GB values start declining and reading 1-12 most of the time it will end up at 0-1 on GB values but when I check the ground balance values with the simplex plus it is still giving me GB numbers 50-80 or 90s how in the heck can those numbers on the legend be so off from the simplex plus or the ATP, according to Dilek in the Video the legend ground balance is doing what it is supposed to do can someone explain how this is correct so that I can understand

I know there are several reports on Facebook user groups about the speaker failing, I have stated this on Facebook several times, I was one of those that received their Legends in the first batch that hit the US and I have had no issues with my speaker failing on mine or my wife's, my wife's was purchased a few months later hers already had the 1.05 update mine came with the 1.04 in it, when I received mine the default volume setting was 3 my wife's was the same, mine when I checked how loud the factory default volume was it was very loud at 3 i turned it up to 6 which is max volume and it was blaring and made targets tones sound distorted to me, keep in mind I have severe Tinnitus in both ears with 3-4 different sounds going on at all times 24/7 in both ears, I lowered the volume back to 3 and I had no issues hearing anything at volume 3, because of how loud it is I am able to run my volume at 1-2 and still hear targets very well, I have mentioned this on Facebook that I believe that at a volume level of 6 the speaker is being over driven and eventually blows and apparently it blows rather quickly, I have PMed a few of the people on Facebook that their speaker went out and each and everyone of the ones I have messaged stated they had been running their volume at 6, it would be interesting to know if the speaker going out has anything to do with running the volume at the max or even at a setting of 5, my legend other then one time when I first received my Legend has only been run at a volume of 1-3 and again I have had no issues, my wife's has never been above 3 on the volume at all, I now have way over 300 hours on my Legend and my wife's has a little over 70 hours, because she does not detect as much as I do mostly she just sits and watches me detect I do not know if this could be fixed with an update or whether Nokta/Macro would have to replace all of the speakers, it would be interesting to know if they could tone the volume down with an update, without killing the volume completely so you have to run at max volume, or if they could just eliminate the 5-6 volume level all together and make 3 or even 4 the max volume

  6. well just checked with a magnet magnet does not attract, as far as TIDs on Legend it is ringing up 45-47 so i do not know are there any meteors that do not stick to a magnet??? all I can tell everyone is the Legend screams on it could it be just a odd looking hot rock ??? one for the finds box,Labeled Nothing Special LOL

I was detecting in all metal mode and 4 tones and the tone that was sounding off said it was not Iron it is only about 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch across pretty small closer to 1/2 inch I keep forgetting there is a ferro check meter on this dang Legend and did not even look at it it was only down maybe an 1-2 inches have not checked it with a magnet either but I guess I should i just thought it was a interesting rock
  8. it was ringing up pretty high I dont really ever look at TIDs I listen to the tones and the tone told me to dig it like I said it was screaming and stopped me in my tracks will have to run the legend over it again and see what the TID is

  10. went out on a short 45 minuet hunt today with the Legend went over this weird little rock and the Legend was screaming can someone tell me what this is
  11. here is how you do a factory reset after update while the Legend is powered on click the power button once it will open the first sub menu use the right arrow to move over to the little man while on that little man (do not push the up Arrow) that will take you to a second sub menu to set up user profiles again DO NOT PRESS THE UP ARROW just move over to the little man it will be blinking hold down on the pin point reject button its the bottom middle button continue holding that down you will see some bars going around the screen of the Legend continue holding pin point reject button until you see FD in the screen of the Legend you have now performed a factory reset LOL if after this you save a custom user profile you want to delete one of your user profiles or two of them you do not have to do a factory reset you can just delete one or two if you want that is done by going into the user profiles

There is a person on Facebook in the Legend groups he has helped a lot of users of the Legend that were having trouble installing the updates very nice person if you message him on Facebook he can probably help you to get the update installed in about 15 minuets his name is Jeremy Shanahan send him a message on Facebook he loves helping people that are having trouble with the updates he will most likely do a video call so he can see what you are doing and walk you rite through the install
  13. here is the instructions for Mac MacOS 1. Disable your antivirus program. 2. Plug the device into a different USB port, if your computer has more than one, to see if the problem is specific to one port. 3. The right drivers must be installed – Go to www.silabs.com/developers/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers and install the driver according to your computer’s operating system. 4. In the Finder on your Mac, locate the app you want to open. Don’t use Launchpad to do this. Launchpad doesn’t allow you to access the shortcut menu. Control-click the app icon, then choose Open from the shortcut menu. Click Open. The app is saved as an exception to your security settings, and you can open it in the future by double-clicking it just as you can any registered app. Note: You can also grant an exception for a blocked app by clicking the Open Anyway button in the General pane of Security & Privacy preferences. This button is available for about an hour after you try to open the app. To change these preferences on your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy , then click General.
  14. to start you need to go read the instructions you do not turn the Legend on it must be off when you connect it to your computer or mac once you are plugged in you hold the up arrow on the legend until UP appears on the legend screen this is all done after you go to the Nokta/Macro site and download the update to your PC once you download the update it will be a zip file you then right click the zip file and click extract all once that is done there will be a thing that looks like a disc right click the disk and install the files once files are installed there will be a updater tool on your desktop or somewhere on your pc open the updater tool just to make sure it is there then close updater tool after all this is done you then plug the Legend in to your PC hold up arrow oon Legend until UP appears on Legend screen then go back to updater tool open it then find the 1.09 Ben file select it and if it is working the update below the bin file will high light click the update button and sit back and pray it works this is the instructions for people using windows 10 and 11 I do not know if it is different for a mac

I agree with you, Dilek stated in the live pod cast the next update they are thinking of releasing it to all of us who purchased the Legend give input and then put out a final version of the next update, not sure I really like that Idea because they will have a ton of suggestions from users that are new and really have no clue about what a detector should actually be myself I am happy with what has been done so far and with what those that have been doing the testing has suggested, can you imagine what will happen if Nokta/Macro does it this way and a bunch of suggestions coming in from users that actually have no clue what they are even talking about, I think it would be a nightmare waiting to happen LOL this is just my opinion

I will say the 1.09 update went much smoother for me then the 1.08 update the 1.09 I had installed in a matter of seconds and that was running the update twice on both mine and my wifes Legends I did it twice on both for good measure LOL I will also say I really like this new update 1.08 now 1.09 this detector just keeps getting better and better in my opinion

  18. According to what Dilek said it does not have to be off when charging infact she said to start the charging process while the Legend is on and then you can turn it off if you want
  19. if you read the manual it tells you to use a charger 2.0 amps or more
  20. at about the 10th hour I kept telling my self don't smash them, because I was seriously thinking about taking a sledge hammer to my PCs and both Legends but somehow I was able to keep it together and they came out UN scaved LOL

Jeff I only wish the Techs at Nokta/Macro could have seen what my two Legends done when the update finally decided to install but all I can do is tell people what I seen so I will tell it the best I can before I down loaded the new update from Nokta/Macro site I checked all firewalls and anti virus and shut them down I prompted my PC to only start these things back up when I re started my PC, I also checked to make sure my windows was up to date and all drivers for USB ports were up to date including the Sillab drivers this was all done prior to down loading the new 1.08, once I made sure everything was up to date and virus protection and firewalls were off I down loaded the 1.08 update, extracted the files and ran the set up the setup is where it installs the new updater tool to your desk top once the 1.08 was down loaded I restarted my PC while it restarted I connected the cable to my Legend and waited for my PC to finish rebooting, I also re checked and shut off firewalls and anti virus again since I had prompted it to restart upon a re start of my PC, once that was done I then connected my Legend to one of the USB ports held the up arrow until up was on the screen of my Legend clicked on updater tool and then the three little dots found the 1.08 bin file it sat there for a good 20 minuets this was the first attempt then all of a sudden the bin file cleared itself and a pop up opened that read USB device not recognized so I started over using a different USB port did the same thing and got the same message the particular PC I was attempting this on has 6 USB ports I tried all 6 and got the same result each time so I rechecked all things to make sure I did not miss anything, I did not the first attempts was on a desk top PC windows 10 I also attempted this on my Lap top which only has two USB ports windows 11 and a smaller windows 10 tablet plus a apple I pad, each and everyone of them did the same thing several time up through the 16th hour of attempts When the update finally went was in the 17th hour and what it did was strange I went back to the first computer I started out on attempting the update plugged the legend into the first USB port got the same message I had gotten for 16 hours previously so started the procedure over plugging into the second USB port and then it installed so I thought great I will just use that same USB port to update the second Legend but nope I got the same message USB device not recognized so I unplugged second legend cleared everything on PC screen shut Legend #2 down and re plugged into the USB port that would not work for the first Legend and Wallah it updated the second Legend so I would like an explanation from a Nokta/Macro Tech explaining how this was user ERROR,it is not and there is absolutely no rhyme or reason as to why if finally installed I believe there is a glitch some where either in the Legend,the updater tool or something, I will say though it is extremely frustrating and needs to be looked at
  22. the factory reset is the first thing I did once I was able to get the new update installed it only took me 17 hours to get the new update to finally install on my two Legend and there is no rhyme or reason as to why it finally did install, I can tell you it was not user error
  23. Agree 100% if the Legend performs half that good in real hunts it will be great in my opinion
