  1. Hi Narrawa If check all detectors you send out first your doing the buyer a great service. I guess most don't think a new in the box detector would come with trouble. I didn't think so but I've been prove wrong. I'd like to see a new detector sent to me being this one never got out the door. When I seen it had a problem that's where I stop. I couldn't see myself having to look at the side of the control box and the light only comes on when you change the settings. Chuck Anders
  2. You can see this detector is top quality made. Lots better than some I've had in the past. Some how this problem is getting pass them but it shouldn't. I'm going to email them now and hope this will help fix a problem they didn't know it was one till now. californiagold I thank you so much for offer of a detector if I was near. Some people like to buy guns but me I buy detectors. So I do have a backup. I'l keep everyone posted on the out come. The Best Chuck
  3. Steve I will let you know what my out come will be. The pins was the first thing I checked and then the plug. All looked good with nothing loose when put them together. I'll talk with Chris tomorrow to find out where I go from here. Till then Chuck Jasong This is the first time a new detector came out of the box with trouble. I hope I do have better luck than you. I'm one that don't give up are give in. I know what you say but at the same time I've heard good things about Nokta..
  4. Yes Steve the display on the side of the control box works great. So far I can't find anything wrong with it. Like I said when detecting in Gen and get a ID number on the box but nothing on the handle screen. It will light up and that's all I get. I hope Nokta can say the trouble is in handle or the control box. I hate to have to send the complete detector back.. It's their call. Chuck Anders PS I want everyone to know this detector as one can see it's well made. I really like the looks it's just when it's you that has trouble it gets personal.
  5. I just got my Nokta gold plus detector today and ran into trouble . The screen on the handle will light up but can't get a number display on it. I've check the pins and plug with both looking good. I plug it back in and still have the trouble. The detector was double box and it didn't have any damage to either one. I hope someone has had the same problem with a quick fix. I really don't want to have to send it in before I can use it. Chuck Anders
  6. californiagold It's good to see and hear how well the Gold Plus is doing. The person behind it all knowing about his machine goes a long way. What I don't understand is why all the Gold Plus is not getting pass the west coast.HaHa The best to you california and keep on reporting the yellow metal you find. Chuck Anders PS You anywhere near Merced? From 61 to 64 I was station at Castle AFB and went up and down the 49ers trail looking for gold. If I don't remember anything else it will be that.
  7. Nokta I thank you so much for your reply.I know it's coming but it's a hard one on the waiting part. Thanks Again. Chuck
  8. Nokta You posted back in Oct. 07th that the Gold Plus should be here soon. Just to let you know I put my money down for one with Chris on AZoutback. I found one guy on ebay that has them for sale but talking about later ship date that he just changed a little later. I believe good things is worth the wait and I don't plan a trip anytime soon to any gold fields. The thing is after 41 days from your first post I'm wondering where is it ? I'm looking forward to all the new detectors you have coming. I just hope I don't run out of money when I see I want another one like the Impact. The word it's self sounds if it has to be a great detector Nokta I thank you for posting here and I wish more detector companies did. Chuck Anders
  9. Hi Jasong Did you buy your Nokta from Kellyco ? I know the Gold Bug Pro is a great detector but I just sold it to a friend. Done it to buy another and I don't know what that is at this time. That's not much of a repair depot if they give you the run around and just sit on it. I had the same trouble with a TDI and it came back three times from White's. The way it got fix was Jimmie S. said give me a new one and they did. Chuck
  10. Well Chris has posted the amount he will sell the Nokta Fors Gold Plus and that's 679.00 with free shipping. He said he should have them in stock by next week. So if you would like one out of the first batch them put your name in the pot now. Chuck
  11. Hey Dean Some years back I'd went to Miss. to help my family do repairs because if a storm they had Well we were putting a roof on one rent house. The guy next door came out and said that roof was going to leak and we ask why. His answer was it had three left handed people on it. I can move a hammer from one hand to the other and not slow down. To hit a ball, to shoot has to be off the right but to eat are write has to be the left. One odd duck. Take care Dean we'll be okay Chuck
  12. Well californiagold You could say that I'm a odd duck. I'm left handed and some things I can use both hands but swinging a detector has to be the right hand. Nokta That is great a company is willing to help the left handed people out. I'm looking forward on seeing the videos done on the Fors Gold Plus. Like what cagold said on setting up your detector any change to the detector would be small. So like my 4500 a quick look and a flip flop of the controls being it neither has a heads up display. I'm spending more time in the field swinging my detector and that's what finds you the gold. The Best on your New Line of Detectors. Chuck Anders
  13. Californiagold On the Fors Gold did you find having to look on the side of the control box a problem to check settings? Even the 5000 you have to do the same thing. Just maybe it's why you said you may wait on the Racer Gold to come out. I know myself I too would like to see what it has to offer before buying anything. Oh well I guess time will tell us all what we want to know. Chuck
  14. Yes I too would like to know what new detector it will be. Now if you try to take away the 5000 from your wife it will be your last dance. Waiting !!???? Haha Chuck
  15. Hi Nokta It's good to see a detector company doing whatever they can to get our money in making what the buyer wants. I know I need another detector to hold up one wall. That's what I tell my wife why I need more detectors. I'm thinking only of her so the walls don't fall in on her. The Best! Chuck Anders
  16. Nokta thanks for the heads up on things to come. I myself like the detector display all up front so I know all my settings without having to look at the side of the detector box. I guess I'll just sit back and wait. Chuck Anders PS For a new kid on the block in the US you've got some great detectors.
  17. I don't give a warranty with this but worth a try. Collect snake skins from where ever you can get them. I do mean as many you can get your hands on. Then put them all over your claim and be sure to put one in the hole you've been working each time when you leave. Worth a try Chuck Anders.
  18. It's good to hear gold + will be out soon. When Chris of Azoutback gets them I think he will make a video of it in the gold field. I'm like a kid in a candy store when it comes to a new detector. I couldn't find the price on any of your optional items. The thing with me is I want to cover on my detector are a stand to keep it protected from whatever comes my way. I got your email and I thank you. Feel free to send me any info of something new you got coming out. Chuck Anders PS The best is the written report that Steve gives on all detectors he comes in contact with.
  19. Californiagold Being you have had a longer run time with the fors gold than most people it would be good to hear your thinking on the plus. I'm already checking with Chris and when he knows more he'll get back with me. The Best Chuck
  20. If I don't get a cover and case with a new detector I just don't use it. Well not until I can make a cover and go buy the case. Like said we put out lots of money for detectors and we want it to last for years. On the charger it good to have one but I have other detectors that use AA batteries and came with a charger for AC plus car. Time will tell all on this matter. Chuck Anders
  21. It's always good to hear great news. Where oh where is is the racer gold I've been sitting on the fence waiting for? I just wanted to see what the racer gold had to offer maybe over the fors gold. More than one time I was going to go ahead and buy fors gold but now here is the plus. The trouble is it's plus more money plus less in the package. i just love a cover and case for my detector and that would be a plus for me. I must say I've never heard a bad word on your detectors and too the service is great it's been said. Well I need to go so I can bug Chris on Azoutback being he's a dealer for you. Thanks for the better than good news. Chuck Anders PS Don't you love it ? More new toys to play with and coils running out my ears. You can't buy on looks and the way I look I can't get the time of day free.
  22. Jasong If I sold you the same year car every year would you keep buying it? Now I change the car up to look different than the pass year. This car is better than ever before. This new coil is one you can't do without being it can detect small gold better than any in the past. There is one now that is 12 inch and hitting the scales at 40 ounces and it's camo in color. It may be better than another 12 inch coil but I don't know. The only way I'll find out is to buy it. Now I've done what the company wanted and that is put my money out for a new coil. It could be the detector after detector are coils and we all keep spending to find the gold at the end of the rainbow. Chuck Anders
  23. John if it could ID the gold that would be okay. Now if I was to dig trash at that depth three times in a row it may be too good. It would be anything but good digging in hard ground that's for sure. Maybe where you are now it could pay off if one is hunting in a low trash area. If I was with you I'll swing the detector and I'll let you dig.HaHa Keep your money in your pocket until the Racer gold comes out to find out what it can do. The Best John Chuck Anders
  24. Looking at some mag's with the word Garrett and the T's I'd say the bottom one. Chuck Anders
  25. Hey indainbullet The way it sounds to me your doing everything right. Read all you can about it but get out there swinging it is the best OJT ( on the job training ). Sometimes it best to dig the different sounds that coming out of your detector on items you detect.. Over time you will know what it is before you even look at the ID number on your detector. When you get to that point you and your detector become as one. Great first time out find. Chuck Anders
