X35 coil in boost mode is pretty good with sonar prog don’t think d2 will beat it for depth , I plan to do a comparison on clean soil
-
You need to be a brain surgeon to change battery on coil but the dealer charges around 70 £ which is what I would do ,it’s a bit tricky

Oval coil is my favourite as on sweet corn field they’re planted on a 2 feet pitch and I can detect between the plants anytime and spud fields which are in furrows allowing me to stab it anywhere.mind you ,you could use 9inch round as well -

I am doing a stream on the side of a hill where there was a camp,From the Bronze Age which was invaded by the Roman army.the steam of rocks like the above is silent, the d2 doesn’t make a squeak of any kind even iron signals ,from this I assume the deus won’t see thru dense rocks
-
This rock is heavy and dense ,it’s from the beginning of time ,tungsten burrs won’t touch it it’s so hard ,indentation from when it was in a liquid state
-
Nope don’t wanna go back as it’s unproductive
-
I am doing an ancient stream with rocks and stones and d2 is silent but soil round the edges has iron sounds aplenty so I presume it won’t find coins under some stones which maybe to dense
-
I will test a gold ring under a dense stone this stone is comprised of molten rock
-
Lime stone and concrete are ok tho mostly
-
I have a stone that will totally hide a silver hammy penny ,it’s just too dense to allow signals to pass thru
