  1. It’s an interesting test. I’m not a beach/shore/water hunter (only years ago with the 3030) but I have a big area with hot red soil and it’s important to see different targets behaviour. I want to create another prog. for mineralized soils, hunting low conductors, and I’ll test both programs...I think that Beach Sens will be better based on frequencies it uses but also because friends of mine told me that it’s performing on mineralized soils. I like this video test!
  2. My D1 11” coil battery is still performing after more than 10 years. When I want to go hunting I always take a look: if battery is half charged I go. If it’s less than half charged I recharge it. My WS4’s battery needs to be changed while the RC’s battery is still performing like the coil’s one..
  3. After many years I bought again the 9”: in my opinion it’s a must have. A little, great coil!
  4. Beach Sens is next prog. I’ll test on mineralized hematite. People say it’s really performing on hot soils and I want to try..
  5. Big flat iron is always a problem, you know this. How was the silencer level? You could increase it. When I hear iron falses I turn coil around the signal and increase silencer..
  6. 280 is the best XP top end backpack, it’s just a really well made detecting backpack. I have a 240 one, it’s more than enough for me. I always wear my 240 with D2 and 9” + 11” coils. A friend of mine owns a 280 and he’s happy with it. Compliments for your beautiful and big 280.. 👍
  7. Hello mate, my vote is 13x11”. Because of the bigger coverage..
  8. Nice hunt and outstanding photo, seems to be on another planet! If that soil is mineralized, please try also with a program I did for my hematite area, called Focus1: sensitivity 94/97, audio response 5, reactivity 3, iron volume 3/5, silencer 0, ground stabilizer 1. It’s based on program 2 but with Pitch and PWM audio. If iron sounds too much high, set silencer on 2 and if machine isn’t as stable as you want, set ground stabilizer on 2. I have to say that I look for little, low conductive targets and this is program I use on mineralized soils. Bye for now!
  9. Yes, my program 15 is Focus1.. I want to say that I’d like to add my programs to the list, I have 2 programs, one for mineralized and the other for mild soils. Maybe they could be useful for someone..
  10. Thanks for your upload! I’m with my mobile and can see many files but I couldn’t find my Focus 1 program: it’s really performing on mineralized soils to find low conductors..
  11. Agree with 1moar. I always run prog.3 pwm (on mild soils) and works 100%. I change only reactivity. I put ground stabilizer on 2 which gives more stability and for iron falsing I swing over the target changing swinging coil direction. In this way you 100% understand if that’s iron/big iron or not. Audio response on 4 and reactivity 2.5 mostly..
  12. Full tones are always my first choice when soil is mild, low mineralized. On hot soils, in my opinion, Pitch/2/3 tones is the best choice. I did a video test about the “more tones less depth” on Hematite. But on mild soils I love full tones/pwm which offer a detailed sound identification. After your tests let me know what you think. 👍
  13. I agree with Palzynski. My favourite prog. is the number 2, Sensitive. With some changes but, in my opinion, Sensitive is the most performing program for relic hunting.
  14. Very good hunt, congrats! Have you ever used Pitch? With Pitch you don’t need to look at the screen because you can easily recognize the targets depth due to the intensity of the tone. My program for mineralized soils is with Pitch tone and, in my opinion, is performing. Obviously, sound identification isn’t detailed but, if your soils are mineralized, Pitch can be a good choice..
  15. Don’t know but next one will be the tek-point by Teknetics. Next one will be a pulse pinpointer, that’s for sure.
  16. I’ve heard great things about the MI6. I’ve never owned a XP pinpointer, now I have a classic Propointer AT which I don’t like...bought it because of the orange colour but next one will be a pulse pinpointer for sure.
  17. Pinpointer always helps me even with the 9”! 😄 Great hunt Capphd 👍
  18. I agree with you and thanks for your nice report!
  19. In this graph you see phase and VDI readings. On the extreme left there is a little grey area: that’s normal soils portion. Going up to the right we find salt range. Under the phase range you see vdi from -95 to +95. This chart was born with v3i readings but it sums up the whole vlf readings world..
  20. Talking about mineralization, strenght is the most important aspect. Look at this picture: I took this photo years ago with D1 and you can see a “low” phase, 64, but a high strenght, the bar on the right. I took another picture in another field where phase is 100% ferrous (V.D.I) but strenght is very low(1.1%). That’s a mild soil.
