  1. I always test at home using a hematite stone. It’s the first test I do. But it’s about 1 inch thick. Its mineralization is extreme..
  2. On hematite, with magnetic accept, is not possibile to ground balance machine. Unfortunately..
  3. Hello Midalake, with magnetic “accept”, that Program isn’t usable on very hot soils. But I’m going to do other tests, on hematite, with a new custom program. It sounds promising, better than Focus 2T..
  4. That’s a really great hunt. And very nice photos! 👍
  5. 1.1. Because of very nice features. I like 1.1 and have to come back on the field with the 9” to test a new relic hunting program.
  6. Yes, confirm that we need a little elliptical..
  7. 11” coil is fast in iron infested sites and also the ground coverage is good. Congrats! 👍
  8. Yes JCR, a big hematite area near here. The mineralization strength is more intense than some areas around Rome where soil is volcanic. I have (and had) PIs because of hematite and to do tests with a VLF on hematite, seems a miracle to me. With D1 was impossible going on red dirt looking for low conductors. With D1 and 95% VLF. But now, with multi frequencies things are different. Thanks for reading and for your input! 👍
  9. Thank you a lot CPT! When you want..try it and let me know! 👍
  10. If your soils are really hot, please try this program or anyway try with beach sens, 2 tones...and remember to put also max salt sens value because it’s important even if you’re not on beach/shore..
  11. Did a video test with my second custom program. Maybe someone remember the Focus1 based on program 2, in Pitch. This one is based on program 12, beach sens. Its name is “Focus 2T”. It’s with 2 tones and first tone break on 9. Magnetic reject, audio filter 5, sensitivity 95 and reactivity 1-1.5. It’s a nice result because that soil is hematite and that target is a very low conductor. Coil is the 11”. 13” couldn’t detect the target so I’ll do another test with 11”, 9” and 13”.
  12. Thanks for your interesting report!
  13. There is a new video by Gary. There is something about the Audio Filter..
  14. I agree with you. I always try to keep machine without any filters but with AF is different a bit..
  15. Very nice again! Love to follow your threads with your finds and photos!
  16. Very nice F350! I’m studying low conductor targets AF in very mineralized soil. I’m working on a new program and I’ll share it here. Thanks for your report..
  17. Very interesting your report about the 13”. By the way very nice photos. And happy anniversary!
  18. Wow, that’s a really very nice hunt! 👏 Love the Alamo Hotel tag!
  19. I’m a relic hunter, don’t use notch and even bottle cap: looking for little targets and I dig everything from early 20s to late 80s TID. Bottle cap only in the beach, shore and first 80cm/1m water wearing waders ...but I live about 70 miles from the sea so I go mostly in the countryside. Last weekend stayed at home because of lot of rain but I have to come back on hematite to set up a custom program which is promising. I’m studying audio filter which I consider a very nice feature and silencer as well. Talking about mild soils I’ll have to study new full tones feature..
  20. Very nice hunt! Like you report, your speech about iron falses and photos, congrats! 👍
  21. Tests are used to set up the machine at its best..at least this is my purpose. Unfortunately I have a very large area with red soil here, really high mineralized. And that’s something I have to deal with.
  22. Thank you! Machine was obviously ground balanced but when I’m on the field I always forget to do things...like to test the other program I had set for myself and audio filter vs iron. Next time I’ll do other tests but I hope I’ll use an action cam, not the mobile phone. Anyway I’m still happy with the result..
