  1. Just come back from the high mineralized area, I wanted to show that audio filter feature is really important to go deeper and have a better signal also in mineralized soils. I had a weak one way signal with audio filter 0 and a 100% better signal with audio filter 5. Very low conductive target in the bottom of a 9” hole.. Here is the video. Sorry for the low quality, used again the mobile phone but I have to buy an action cam..
  2. Nice hunt and report , CPT. 👍 Very nice!
  3. In my opinion on 0 is deactivated. Something like the 0 setting of the audio filter. But it’s a good question..
  4. I think that is deactivated. It’s like silencer -1 in Deus 1 V4..my D1 is still with v4.0..
  5. Yes, I agree with you. I think that, talking about V1.0, we need to study and understand. I agree also with your words “need to take a step back and focus on what we need to do to get the most out of the new settings” . That’s what I think, we have to test and understand new settings for different types of hunt. 👍
  6. I’m experimenting too and look forward to go in a high mineralized field 👍 Bu the way I agree with Jeff
  7. Hello Gary and thanks a lot for your reply. Mine is only an air test did at home and I have to try on the field. I have large areas where mineralization is really strong and according to this simple test, audio filter maybe could help also on mineralized soils. But I have to study and understand on the field. I’ll let you know my thoughts and thank you a lot for your help. 👍
  8. It’s only an air test did at home, I have taken advantage from the fact that wife isn’t here and my daughter doesn’t care! A low conductor below a high mineralized hematite stone to understand how and how much audio filter can improve detection on mineralized ground. Well, according to this test, audio filter works not only to amplify weaker deep signals and there is a big difference between audio filter 5 versus 1 and 2 but also 3-4 and obviously 0. Settings: prog.2 with disc 5, sensitivity 95, iron volume 5, audio response 5, 3 tones high square, square and PWM, silencer 2, no bottle cap and notch. In Pitch and with 2 only tones signal would have been stronger. 11”, 9” and 13” coils. Also big coil passed test with flying colors. I’m happy for the result . Look forward to go on the field!
  9. Have been using full tones with disc -6.4 since the V4.0 on D1: the Gary’s Hot program. But have been using Gary’s Hot program since D1’s 3.2 with Cold prog. one as well. With iron falsing I always walk around the signal and sometimes increasing silencer. And this in iron infested sites, with many old big nails.
  10. This is a nice speech, Phrunt. 👍
  11. That’s very nice! By the way I’m not really a sea hunter but I know that beach sens was performing on hot soils (with V0.71) and want to discover how it performs with V1.0. Follow with interest your tests.
  12. Have to test machine on the ground and have to see how it performs on hot and mild soils. I’m a XP lover but anyway I’d rather not pay for updates in the next future because I’ve (we’ ve) already spent a large amount to purchase D2.
  13. You’re right, my fault: equalizer is ok.
  14. Yes, equalizer is out of work and I agree with Jeff..
  15. Had no problems with the update..
  16. That’s the same thing I was talking about.
