SDC 2300 Powering Up???--{solved}

Anyone have any ideas why an SDC2300  may not be powering up??

We have used 2 different sets of batteries that work fine in another unit.

Not much to troubleshoot except the batteries and off/on switch.        {{{SOLVED}}}}}}}

Was working fine when it was last used. 

Hate to send it to Minelab---they may be tiring of me….. ?

What you are chasing crumbs now...good luck!

The coil springs in the battery compartment may have taken a set. You might try gently stretching them longer to ensure the batteries are making good contact.

Got it--- the local bloke Eric looked in the battery compartment and found a piece of paper blocking one of the springs contact----

High tech---lolol

Wasn't my detector--- I'm using the 5000 with the venerable Nugget Finder 25" coil
 

and my gold take is definitely not got anyone worrying….lol

 You have to be careful when messing with electricity South of the equator.  They use CA electricity instead of AC electricity. I have been told they keep their beer in the oven and bake beans in the refrigerator and the light switches must be installed up side down. Keep all this in mind when charging your detector batteries.
