When you are not Prospecting / Detecting what are your other hobbies,

Back just before my 16th birthday I started playing the Guitar and the sounds that moved my soul was Scotty Moore, Elvis's Guitarist along with Eddie Cochran and Duane Eddy and of coarse The Shadows and when I  bought one of Eddie Cochrans Albums I saw and heard the Guitar that turned into a life Long dream from 1979 and no matter what I could not find one and then the company went out of business in 1986 and the only one that did come up for sale sold for over $170,000.00  anyway my last Guitar I had I bought on new years eve 1989 in Australia and it was The Eric Clapton Custom Shop Signature model, well I kept that guitar and it travelled the world many times with me and still in perfect condition I sold it to a friend in 2011, because I eventually found the Guitar of my dreams because they had started making them again, but that was never meant to be and my life changed, anyway last year I thought what the heck and although I did not buy the Eddie Cochran model and I ended up buying The Chet Atkins Tennessee Rose which was designed by the man himself and the color was what I always wanted it took me 35 years to make that dream come true and it cost me a few 000$ but It was worth it and the sound is like Duane Eddy, Eddie Cochran and George Harrison, The Travelling Wilburys and the Mavericks and of coarse the Late Great Carl Perkins,

So without further delay, This is my Gretsch.

Wow..nice guitar...

and bring from Tennessee and from the same era, I can relate to all those people and bands

It is a beautiful thing and another reason for getting that model is because it Has Tennessee In it's name and they are the second model that Chet designed, the first model was the Orange one that Eddie Cochran Played with the "G" brand on the body and the Cactus and fence's and Steer Heads on it known as the G6120 DSW where my one is the G6119,

I have always liked Rockabilly and country music along with 50s Rock"n"Roll, So it fits the bill and  the Sound

is something else, lol the First tune I played on it was Elvis's Mystery Train, and then Duane's Peter Gunn.

It's a beautiful guitar. The things you wait longest for are always the once you cherish most. Bit like those elusive nuggets...

Silly part about it I got choked up when I heard the first note I played on it and my hands were shakin,

I never thought I would ever see one let alone own one.

Sweet Gretsch, My brother has quit a guitar collection. About all I can do is strum a few chord's.
Too many interest my self. From Hot Rods, to shooting target Archery, and trying to find time to shoot some fly line. Cars take up a lot of $ and time.

But this prospecting is something I have always been drawn to. I find  it fascinating when learning about the old timers, etc.

My cousin that lived in Alaska and just recently passed away always told me. "Bear story's are like Gold story's up here. everyone has one."
