Mine turned up yesterday. Haven't used it in anger yet but if it works like it looks it'll be a winner. Could do with a belt clip like my BZ's and as it's rechargeable I'd love a visual indicator that it does have charge in it as you can't just stuff batteries in it if you forgot to put the damn thing on charge (like I often do)

First run out prospecting today in the new toy. Love it! Can climb a lot of stuff my Cruisers struggle with and seems to do it effortlessly. While the camo stands out in a domestic type environment..... in the bush it just blends in with the surrounding shrubbery, if it wasn't for my friends Val and Karl I'd never have found the damn thing!

I've used a potato before as a retort before I got a proper retort. Worked okay but still lose a bit of mercury and damn messy reclaiming the mercury. Made the potato taste funny too

Nah...prospecting only out of this one...unless a feral pops up on the way out prospecting of cause. Have a Toyota ute with drop down front window, large spotty and a shooting bar for feral control. Shooting out of the choppers take a whole lot of red tape and licensing that makes you often wonder if it's worth the hassle

Got to agree. I can swing the GPZ all day without a problem, but the fatigue sets in with the 2300 after only a few hours

ummm.....I think it was under a week, though I did take a day off to do my washing, clean my room and take some crap to the dump. So to be safe lets say 7 days.

Thanks fellas, yeah I put about 60kg through a mates one the other week and was picking out gold balls caught up in the screen with a nail. But it sure as hell beats days on end of pounding in the dolly pot.

ahh species I'll still probably sodomize in the dolly pot but this will make short work of the 'other stuff'

Hi Ash, Loved the small crusher, I trialled it but haven't bought one yet. It may not be big enough for the amount of material I might have (hopefully) but I'll probably get one anyway. I did crush a stack in it's bigger brother but was not happy with the screen size on that one (1.5mil) I want to get it as close to powder as possible. I do have a Keene crusher but it's off getting a new motor on it at the moment and not sure when I'll have it back. Yep the Falcon worked well and it was probably my lack of experience with it. It was loaned to me so I didn't get to play with it for too long.

Hi JW. Ran a Falcon probe through the hole plus through a tub of about 60kg of rock and got a fair few bits out that signalled plus stand alone tiny nuggets. The probe was great but too finicky and hard to know if it was signalling on gold or mineralization. I haven't had a great deal of experience with the Falcon and it was a loan job. Have no access to a GB or Monster. For now I'll just chase the reef and what's directly against it and whack the whole lot through the crusher testing along the way.

21grs from about 5kg of rock sample with no signals or visible gold, hope the rest is like this
