  1. I posted these 2 rings I found in a separate Nokta Legend thread that you might not have seen. My best ever beach finds. I had them cleaned and appraised and was shocked and surprised at their commercial value..😄 😛.. 18 ct. white gold and approximately 1/2 carat VVS1 diamonds.
  2. Might be a nice target there for someone in the thaw.... you would have to dispose of the evidence though.☠️
  3. A couple of Legend finds at my local beaches. This heavy Dunhill Rolagas lighter was dropped in soft sand on the towel line = disappeared instantly. This watch was recovered from the wave wash zone. B
  4. I think your Motherboards are crying... “ I need a break!!”. 🤪
  5. Thanks for the reply George, I definitely won’t be underpricing it that’s for sure. These older detectors are getting to be like classic cars are for collectors.... maybe gaining value in the future.🤑
  6. G’day George, do you mind telling us what price you paid for the SPP.... just ‘cos I’ve got one I’m thinking of selling here in Oz. Mine has the High/Low Conductivity switch fitted and I’ve also modified the rechargeable battery pack to take eight 3.7 Volt lithium 14500 batteries. (2 parallel banks of 4 ) giving around 15 volts with 4000 m/ah of run time. The extra voltage over the stock 11.5 volt pack gives much better depth/ sensitivity. The 12x8 Razorback coil is dynamite on any TDI machine and also handles EMI great, being a folded 8 noise cancelling design. Just wondering what I should be asking for it ?
  7. That’s golden !.... it is like mother nature rewarding you for your devoted efforts in getting out and having a go. 👌
  8. That possum on your can looks downright mad.... maybe he’s looking for where the rest of his family is....
  9. Fantastic..... I hope there’s a new PI machine coming out of that facility in the near future.👍
  10. Hey unox.... as you can see from this pic, I just drew out the shape on the plough disc and cut it out with a angle grinder. The curvature of the disc is ideal for a digger. I did get the cutting slits done by a saw workshop.
  11. Yes, you’re probably right with the downhill trend regarding quality with anything these days. I got mine almost 10 years ago.
  12. Sorry to hear that about your Lesche digger mate, but I couldn’t disagree more after having used my Sampson for many years now. I have found it to be very robust and effective in all types of Aussie ground. I have also used it to dig many a “long drop” dunny in hard rocky campsites without problems. Maybe yours were ‘seconds’ or just had some manufacturing stress faults. These pics of mine show how much wear the blade has suffered over the years, but the integrity of the welds is fine.
  13. Sorry NCtoad, but after making this lot from the one disc, I’m all outa steel. Thanks for the endorsement though👍
  14. I made my own version of the Predator Phoenix shovel from a plough disc. The steel in these discs is ideal for prospecting picks and shovels. The curvature is similar to the Phoenix blade and cuts a perfect plug.
  15. These guys stock them. https://gulfcoastdetector.com/collections/digging-tools-and-scoops
  16. This is the scoop I use here in Oz. They sell for around $US120, so won’t break the bank. Mine has stood up to some heavy work in the tidal rock zone, so I’m happy with its durability. I have added two aids to my fibreglass handle, one a central lifting stem and the other a top mounted Raptor handle both of which let me lift or pull a full scoop from deep sucking holes without straining my wrist and forearm. The Raptor handle also allows me to drag the scoop behind me in my left hand leaving a gridding line in the sand while I’m walking and swinging. Win, win....
  17. Sorry to hear you Yanks are snowed in and have ye old cabin fever, but where I am in South Oz it’s high summer beach detecting weather. I’ve had the LG24 for a few weeks now and all I can say is wow, what a little beast it is. I think it is the perfect match for the Legend with it’s light weight, separation and sensitivity and depth for size capabilities. I am actually enjoying using it over the stock 11” coil at the beach, with obvious less coverage. It does not suffer with much less depth, but pinpoints great. Anyway, I hope your weather improves so you can get out to experience this great little coil soon. A couple of pics of what this coil has unearthed.... some trash and treasure.
  18. Paystreak may swing fast ( I think he is just a touch hyperactive)... but boy can he recover a target super quick and move on to the next. He’s definitely one of a kind, but a real pro nonetheless.
  19. Do yourself a favour and watch some videos of Paystreak with the Legend in his parks. No discrimination for him, he’s purley a tone hunter. Calls targets before he digs ‘em. I have learnt a lot just from watching him at work.... especially his target recovery and leaving the ground pristine. This is one of his latest with the LG24.
  20. Wow..... that’s mind boggling. I would have had a heart attack.😛
  21. I thought I’d post some beach finds up after using the LG24 for the last couple of weeks along the coast here. First thing I have to say is wow... how easy it is to swing for extended sessions on the beach compared with the stock 11” coil. And it does not seem to lack much in depth either (on the targets I’m digging anyway). Obviously ground coverage is less, but my swinging sessions are longer without the fatigue factor, so call it square. Pretty sensitive too on the fine gold chains.... all in all I’m very impressed with the lightness and balance of this little beast. It ain’t coming off anytime soon. Both diamond rings have been professionally cleaned and appraised as 18ct. white gold with VS1 clarity and F/G colour stones..... I almost choked when I first saw them in the scoop...... my best detecting finds ever. 😃
