619_805_okie
There's one beach i go to where iron falsing happens ever foot or so. I resorted to notching out 82-88. I know im missing some good targets but it kills my ears otherwise and is too many targets to dig. I haven't found anything to fix it. Id say that at this point i can generally trll when its iron vs a legit target but im sure i miss some legit targets too. I too noticed that it is worse w the 9" which i think is related to the falsing occurring as you hit the outside edge of the iron. If it wasnt bad id suffer through it but that one beach will drive me nuts!
CPT_GhostLight
I've noticed that reducing the sensitivity a bit can reduce the iron falsing. I usually run at 96, but in a high iron zone, I'll usually kock that down to 92 or so and it helps. I have also noticed that an iron false may flash a brief non-ferrous line on the display but will mainly show as a ferrous line on the display and a non-ferrous object in iron will mainly display a non-ferrous line.
