vanursepaul
OK,,,Battery drain is the main reason i dumped it..... it sucks the juice out of a 9volt in one day...
Paulito
That Brochure Steve shared shows 95 kHz operating frequency. i'm not an expert, but i'm putting 1 and 1 together. On all company websites/pamphlets, in the "specifications" tab, under "Frequency" they say their PI machines use "Pulse Induction". For VLF detectors, there is a frequency # kHz, right? So i'd guess that since the brochure that Steve originally posted say this Xpointer runs at 95kHz, i'm concluding and concurring that it's a VLF not PI? Steve Herschbach
I think the originals were VLF but that they now also make a PI version.

Ringmoney
As far as I know all xpointers are PI's. Bought one a while back and thought it was a very poor product. It would go through a 9v battery every day I used it, in fact I am still using the so called dead batteries in my Garrett for the past 6 months. It drove my CTX, Deus and F75 mad. The threads on the cap sheared more or less straight away. Deeper than the Garrett but its sensitivity to small targets was very bad, it would not sound off on foil, hot rocks and coke, nothing worse than your detector saying their is a target there and the pointer will not respond to it. Out of 4 units that I know of bought by friends and I, 3 of them were sent back with problems. In all very poorly made Chinese product.
