No they do not. Garrett ATX has AA batteries as just one of many examples. It is true you may not want newer metal detector models coming out as nearly all top end models including VLF models will have built in batteries. It is not just a PI thing, but the way all portable lectronic devices are headed.

Any ideas why most Nugget Finder coils are usually out of stock here in the states? The dealers that I talk to in Australia have no problem getting them and most have a large inventory.

As far as I know they are not chipped. X Coil made a coil for the Axiom with no issues in that regard. Unfortunately it was a DOD design that did not work out. Garrett Axiom Compatible X-coils

The answer is very simple M8 has a big buoyant effect. They made good coil with open designs for water hunting. That is all Minelab magic. Bigger holes. Nothing more, nothing else.

That is not a HipStick. It’s a cheap copy of a HipStick. Buy one from JP and you won’t have that issue.

Hi I bought a hip stick and the first day tried it’s broke , the cap come off. Luckily it happens before I go to WA. Anyone has better quality build hip sticks to advise? thanks ethan

Does anyone have the coil specs for any of the Axiom coils? Are they chipped or frequency locked? If so, are the locking chips in the coil or plug??? <scratching chin>
