  1. Okay guys the contest is over and being I didn’t have many to enter all will be winners. If everyone will please PM your mailing address I’ll be happy to get your prize to you. You will be getting what you said you would like. Chuck
  2. Jim It ain’t that funny . I looked in the mirror and somebody has written stupid across my forehead . The Best Jim Chuck It’s really funnier. When I said I was calling Whites you said best of luck with that and I didn’t realize how true your statement was until now.
  3. On Rob’s forum he had posted what White’s has and they calling the 8X14 a dual field coil. I guess after talking with Jack I don’t know anymore than I did before my call . I guess if I called back to White’s they would tell me we don’t have a guy by the name of Jack there . Maybe I’ll keep it simple and buy a Simplex. ha I’m not sure if I am Chuck. I’ll just say bye
  4. Jim I don’t know what the Sam Hill is going on because I ask a direct question to Jack if the High-Q was a dual field coil. His reply back to me no it’s not . He said it’s a folded mono. I believe that White’s came up with a high tech name like High-Q so to sound like new technology. Would you want to say what joe blow has been making for years? If you didn’t know about the coil before and everybody else didn’t know about them White’s has come up with new technology. Then all of us nuts who can’t live without it will have to buy . That’s just what White’s wants you to do . Chuck
  5. Noob Before Miner John was making the coils another guy had the business. He was making the coils for a fair amount of time then sold out to John . The only patented that White’s may have on is the name they using. I think at one time it was referred as a folded eight. You may want to read back on what Jim said about a patented. It’s some out there that think the coil is is the cats meow . It’s all about ones opinion from another. Chuck
  6. Malter I found that Fisher two box detector always worked great for me . White’s has one that’s in one unit but never used one . i just let my friend have my Fisher but if found the need it would be another Fisher. Chuck
  7. Hunter I sent you a PM saying I’ve got some old Treasure mags you can have if want. Get back with me if interested . Chuck
  8. Maybe John is getting royalties off of that design. I guess you and I will have to sit back to wait for the videos to see just how good it is . Chuck
  9. Ok Jim I just got off the phone with Jack was his name and he said at this time it will be sold only with that detector. Oh but dig this ! I ask if it was a dual field coil and he said no . It’s a folded and that’s the word he used eight that will be more sensitive to small gold than the dual field coil. If you have a question ask for Jack. Now you know the rest of the story said Paul Harvey. Chuck
  10. Jim I’m going to call Whites in a few minutes and ask about that coil to see if they will sell it straight out . I’m like so many I don’t need the detector. Get back soon. Chuck
  11. Blowing up the picture it looks like it could be crossed between a DD and what else only White’s knows. I still say for anyone wanting a Pulse detector for so little money you need to jump on this with both feet. Chuck
  12. The center of the coil looks different than the dual field coil because you don’t see the donut in the center. Chuck
  13. Jim I do believe you hit the nail on the head about Mine John’s coils . I’d forgot about that and I bet they were buying as need be . Then with all the tan metal housing they has to come up with what we see now . I think it’s a great buy for someone wanting a pulse detector with two coils. The trouble for us that already has the detector we just need the new coil . You could say the two coils is half the price of the total value of the package. Maybe next time they will call me for my opinion before they do something next time. haha Chuck
  14. Hey Jim If we could get near one with a Pinpointer maybe we could find out. That way we could test for that little center coil. I don’t think I’d want to take a saw to one to find out . Chuck
  15. phrunt You remember when they came out with the tan control box from the usual black box. They also had Miner John’s coil on it. Now the same control box with a new coil plus a free one . That little 7.5 dual field is a great add on for anyone. I believe with the other coil that they had before wasn’t a mover like they had hoped .Now White’s hope with the new coil and the added dual field this will move their overstock tan TDI SL.. Just my opinion. Chuck
  16. Glenn When you look the picture of the two detectors I guess it’s depth perception makes the coils look like a different size than the other. Funny at first I was thinking two new coil. Well that shot my thinking down.ha Chuck
  17. The odd thing is they all over the net they have this new coil on the same old TDI SL but it’s the first time seeing it here . We the customer lost a lot when Tom left White’s. But lately it has been anything coming out that peaked out interest anyway Chuck
  18. It’s on the net for sale with two coils . The new coil is 7.5 X 12 and the other is that 7.5 dual field coil. Got the same battery pack as before. If you could just buy the new coil and up the voltage on what you got that would be the way to go. I know that I’m not going out and spend 1099.00 to find out either way what’s best . A test on here was just done to how well that 7.5 dual field coil worked. If you can’t buy this new coil without having to buy the whole package then just order the other . It’s more than one way to shin this cat , Chuck
  19. Waiting for someone to give a review. Is it just the coil that was improved are maybe something in the control box like higher voltage? Not so sure about the camo box . I could sit it down and may never find it again. Here we are with another big question mark. New detectors from here there and everywhere and not enough money to buy them all . Chuck
  20. Well I forgot that I had his cell number. I shot him a text on it and if I hear from him I’ll pass it on . Chuck
  21. I’m sure Bob has had a lot to deal with but I’d hope we’d heard from him bye now. If anyone on here can fill in the void of not knowing . Please reply! Chuck
  22. 57Buick In my day of detecting before discrimination I had to dig everything and I know I found more rings. You had to work harder digging in some ground that a pick would have bounce back in your face . You went by the slogan of low and slow but the only thing you may have miss is because it was beyond the detector depth range. I know I’d find more today if I wasn’t relying on discrimination to pick it out for me. I tell you out there that’s still young and strong lower that discrimination and get back to the old ways of detecting. I promise you the reward will be great. When you get older that discrimination may look good as it does to me but don’t rush it. Chuck
  23. Hey Retired I hate to tell you son but you still got baby fat . I too been swinging a White’s for a long time and that was six years before you, It’s a great bunch of guys on here that can help you on just about any detector. The Best To You! Chuck
  24. Okay everyone I’ll stop this contest the last day of September at 6 PM CST . Remember shipping is free to anyone in the lower 48 . Thanks for playing. Chuck
