mn90403
I read a story that said the largest gold nugget (250kg) was in Japan! What? Then I read further that it was made in 2005. Hummm How do you 'make' a gold nugget? Then I looked at a different source and found out that there had been a lot of gold mined in Japan years ago and I think this place correctly called it a gold bar. Here are a couple of links. I believe that they were talking about the museum was made in 2005, because the mine had closed years earlier. Inside the museum they showed some large gold bars, but I think the nugget is real. They pulled a lot gold out of that mine along with silver for many decades. Interesting article for sure, thanks for sharing it.
