First Real Finds Of Import With AlgoForce E1500?

Split from another thread so don't blame Ned for the title - that is mine. Yeah, I know Simon and probably others have found gold already, but this from Ned is more like what we want to see and so worth a thread of it's own. Congratulations Ned on a good start! - Steve H

I've been out probably a dozen times with the E1500. Mostly testing a variety of coils the first few days. Then settings and combinations. I also rigged it up with a wireless set up and a sp-01 enhancer and headphones.

After all that I got in some  detecting time and managed to find my first gold for the year. 

7 pieces all found with the E1500 and coiltek 9"round elite. Biggest bit went 2.7g and the smallest 0.13g. The heat's a killer here at the moment, if I didn't have a new toy to play with I wouldn't be out there.

G’day Ned.... that’s a good haul with the Algo, well done. Are you in the GT ? If so does it run stable over your ground with regards to variable mineralization. Also, does the  SP01 improve your chances with those faint iffy signals ?

I'm in NSW and yes it's stable. I'm impressed with how stable it runs and handles emi. It still requires regular ground balances but I do that when investigating the slightest of murmurs anyway. Yes I think the sp-01 and headphones help with the iffy signals (for me anyway). First time out with the E1500 I used the speaker only. I've been using  headphones and boosters (enhancers) ever since I bought a second hand SD2200 (when the extremes first came out). I couldn’t believe the difference without them, wind, trees blowing, traffic on the highway, dry leaves on the ground sounded like running the coil over corn flakes not to mention the sound of the plastic rubbing over the ground. I felt naked without my headphones on blocking most of that noise out.

Nice, the one in the bottom right looks like a potentially difficult target for a PI to hit and thus seems the Algo is doing well there for speci stuff.

I could of easily dismissed that speci as a hot rock, no visible gold and very light. After a bit of spit and a rub on my jeans I found a bit of gold poking through the dirty coating.

Not really, the biggest and deepest one was at approximately 10". It was that nice mellow signal you walk around all day listening for.

What coil are you using for the finds Ned? I see you tried a few but missed the bit saying which one produced for you.
