  1. 3.7 V/5100 mAh Internal Lithium-Ion battery, I like that! Never had any issues with charging time or battery life with the 800.
  2. That is weird. ML-105 description... Minelab ML-105 headphones with premium carry case use wireless technology to deliver fast, higher quality audio than standard Bluetooth. This results in more precise and faster detection responses. They are compatible for use with MANTICORE and EQUINOX 900 detectors.
  3. Can't see them building any more 6 & 8 hundreds, money pit. As to warranties on 600 and 800 mdl's maybe they think they can offer the new models as an upgrade "for a few dollars more". Get you twice! And how they going to handle 800 pod replacements?
  4. ML has a flair for complicating the obvious 🙂. They solved the EQ flaws and upgraded in the process. I bet the engineering dep't is ready to move on.
  5. Surprised they didn't just use the ml-105's for the EQ, seems redundant.
  6. Just caught this topic, very exciting! Battery life might tell if it's multi plus or not. to tired to go into his tonight but Steve was right on with the EQ scoop. They had to up grade the nox and using the same pod was in the works since the manticore was thought of. Or the manticore was a boosted EQ 900 after it evolved, regroup/revamp. All good for sure how ever it played out. Great upgraded line up for Minelab!
  7. Dan thank you! The getting started youtube really shows the smooth usability and extra features. The built in info on search modes was a nice surprise.
  8. Probably not world changing if we came up with it already but absolutely wild it was here for so long before "discovered". From the web. "El Ali was found at in a limestone valley 15 kilometres north of El Ali at GPS location 4°17.281’N, 44°53.893’E on September 2020.[1][2] Local pastoralists were aware of the rock for between five and seven generations, and it featured in songs, folklore, dances, and poems.[1] The meteorite was brought to the attention of the international community by Kureym Mining and Rocks Company's staff who were prospecting opals in the area. They identified the rock and started moving it to Mogadishu before the Somalia government intervened. It is an IAB meteorite." Tribes called it nightfall and used it to sharpen their knives. Made me think of "Tutankhamun's meteoric iron dagger, is an iron-bladed dagger from the tomb of the ancient Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun (reigned c. 1334–1325 BC). As the blade composition and homogeneity closely correlate with meteorite composition and homogeneity, the material for the blade is determined to have originated by way of a meteoritic landing."
  9. GB-armature, i think that is it too. A couple non ferrous bits separated by depth must elongate or blur the screen response + ID number would be jumpy just like any visual ID detector.
  10. I used to put my clad in a jar so the grandkids could go to the candy store, well really so i didnt have to clean it!
  11. Sitting the waiting list out but it sure will be good to see the avalanche of youtuber and forum reports this winter. Plus whatever turns up Dec. 1. Anyway i think it's going to be a fantastic machine.
  12. I think it's called "all tones" now. This must be for the top & bottom iron zones on the screen, (Ferrous Limits: Upper: 0 to 14 | Lower: 0 to 9). Not sure why two ferrous zones and how they convey info differently.
  13. Here is Steve's mantidata. https://www.detectorprospector.com/metal-detector-database/minelab-manticore-r156/
  14. That's the best one yet. The visual separation is amazing.
  15. This video does show multiple targets on the screen.
  16. I still use one 😏 Sounds like a great spot!
  17. Handle part of safety razors, double edge blade.
  18. That video you posted had some great info PSPR. Especially on the target graph or what ever it's called. The message below had this, "We are also taking $100 pre-order deposits for when it comes out in mid December". https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=725465375076207&__tn__=F
  19. I think it's gotta be as Steve say's too. I didn't think about the manticore shaft though due to the coil connection. I doubt they change the coil attachment on the coils but just put a nox type lower in the manti shaft. Maybe this is the reason for recent price drop, clear out old stock.
  20. Steve just used the "SECOND TIME AROUND" trick. EQ2🥇
  21. I think (hope) it will look like the manticore shaft and all except for the coil.
  22. EQZ or EQ2 for the hype challenged 🙃 New pod seems likely, side buttons or keypad changes i wonder.
  23. "good things come in two's", "It's better the second time around" They know how to play us dirt sniffers, cryptic Btards! Going with new improved EQ, cheaper to put everything in the same pod.
