  1. That is a truely special find. Not everyday you find a $24 coin.
  2. The three rings to the left were found this morning in an area of 20 feet by 100 feet and in about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Then the tides pushed me out of the area. When I was able to get back into the area this evening there were no targets to be found. I realized there is a shell layer about 14 to 15 inches down, if the sand gets pushed out, it's a target bonanza, if sand gets pushed in, it goes completely silent. It makes me realize how much I need to learn about this hobby.
  3. Just finished a week hunting on the beach. The Tarsacci operated perfectly and the weather was sunny an warm compared to Pennsylvania. The final totals are: 4 toy cars, 1 crucifix, 4 gold rings, 2 silver rings, 2 junk rings, 21 quarters, 22 dimes, 32 pennies, 11 lead sinkers, 5 earrings 1 is gold, 2 junk pendants, 5 nickels, 4 house keys, 1 Go Pro, and 4 pairs of sunglasses. The junk displayed is just a fraction of the junk that I dug.
  4. I am spending a week at the beach waiting for the tide to go down. I will post the finds later. While reading the other posts about what is the best detector, I realized why the Tarsacci is the beach machine for me. 1. In mixed mode it gives a very clear dig or don't dig signal. Since I am a simple person, this is all I need. It doesn't matter if it's a penny or a gold ring, if the Tarsacci tells me to dig, I dig. 2. It will reach down 16 inches. In the surf, where the holes are filling in as quickly as I can dig them, I really don't need anything much deeper. Could I use it in the wet sand? Maybe, but how much deeper are the new machines? A half an inch? 3 It is built like a tank. I am pretty rough on my equipment and the Tarsacci has never failed me. 4. It pinpoints spot on when you find a target. The thing I hated about the Nox was the pinpoint function was poor and I would lose targets in the wet sand when they sunk out of sight because I was digging in the wrong place and the hole was filling in. Depth, Accuracy and Rugged. My only complaint is I would like it to be a little lighter, but Dimitar can do that with the next Tarsacci. Some people want accurate vdi numbers and pretty tones. I just want the machine to tell me when and where to dig.
  5. Nice. It's good to see you score with the Tarsacci. Are you finding anything higher on the beach?
  6. Please use: thegolddigger.com golddigger.com is a porn site. They may sell XP search coils also, but I did not search the site looking for it. I found this out by going to golddigger.com and it asked me if I was over 18.
  7. Dancer it is cold, overcast and gloomy in Western PA. I hope you kill it this year in Florida with the Tarsacci. Keep posting pictures.
  8. Dew, Yes the cross was gold and yes my back and arms were sore at the end of each day. Please stay safe with the storm coming in.
  9. Kerry, I rarely get into the water, because it is usually cold from October thru May and tends to be sanded in by the time summer rolls around. Fortunately my competition on the beach seems to be someone swinging an Equinox like a 9 iron from 150 yards and looks like they are late for a date with the restroom. Most of the gold that I find is between low and high tide line on scratchy marginal signals. I keep reading that the Tarsacci has poor tonal quality. I must disagree. I rarely hunt by numbers, but a good tone from the Tarsacci will stop me in my tracks instantly. I guess my tip is get the best set of headphones possible.
  10. Kerry, No the cobs are not real. Someone thinks it's funny to throw them on the beach. George and Chris, I hope you are well and have a wonderful holiday season with the ones you love. The most interesting find is to the right of the crucifix. It's a coin spill of 2 nickels and a quarter encased in sandstone. Very little down low. Most of the targets were in the upper half ot the wet sand.
  11. I was able to get to the beach for three days last week. It should have been 7 days but appointments and dinner engagements made that impossible. Targets were not very deep and I was suprised to see competition on the beach. I guess everyone thought the hurricane earlier would cause opportunity. Here is the picture of the final digs.
  12. I was able to purchase the 11 inch coil for the Deus 2 today from Serious Detecting. I'm not trying to advertise for anyone, just trying to help anyone who needs this coil.
  13. I agree with Chuck. I love the Tarsacci, but there is no marketing support from the company. Myself, Aaron, Cliff and to a lesser degree Dew have all run out of steam trying to support the Tarsacci. Dimitar builds a great machine, but the Tarsacci is dying in silence due to lack of marketing support.
  14. I was curious to see if anyone would buy an AQ Limited if Fisher made it available or would you wait and hope for a Unlimited model to finally be produced? My thoughts are: If Fisher offers the Limited, I would be a buyer because I fear that the Unlimited version may never see the light of day. Watching OBN and Carolina produce with the AQ is a pleasure to see and a two year warrantee should take care of out of the box hiccups. My only fear about buying an AQ Limited is that Kellyco was correct when they stated that the AQ finished product would be released in 2022. What are your thoughts?
  15. Aaron, Thank you so very much for all your contributions and education on the Tarsacci metal detector. When I hunt on the beach with the Tarsacci, I try to use it like the Sovereign GT instead of like the Equinox 800. Using the tones as dig or not dig and disregard the lack of reliable VDI. After hundreds of hours of hunting I can finally hear the subtle differences in the tones, but your video shows that it didn't have to be this way. I currently own 2 Tarsacci's, but would gladly buy the model you have in the video. If Dimitar would offer that product as the Tarsacci 2, I would buy one today. Thanks again. Beroxy
  16. When you find your favorite detector for your favorite environment you know it pretty quickly. I would encourage everyone to try different detectors and find which one works best for you. Not which one everyone likes, but the one you like the best and the one that performs the best for you. If you buy a new model detector and it doesn't work for you, it is pretty easy to sell with minimal loss. Life is short. Enjoy.
  17. Erik, Sorry. I often forget how much effort goes into creating these comparison videos. I'm sitting on my couch with 24" of snow on the ground outside and you are chasing two detectors in the waves on a beach.
  18. Erik, Thank you very much for the test. I agree with you there doesn't seem to be to much difference between the two machines. If you are able to, I would like to see one added test the next time you are in this position. It's a test that will help you in the future recovering targets. The next time you are in this situation could you show the pinpoint function on both of these machines. I was never a fan of the Equinox's ability to pinpoint at the beach, especially with the 15" coil, but I wanted to see if the Deus II is better. It will also save you time and trouble recovering the target. With an accurate pinpoint and a decent scoop, that target would be at worse two scoops for a recovery. Again thank you for another fantastic informative video.
  19. Geezer, Think of it as the difference between cheap speakers and really nice speakers. With cheap speakers you can tell which band is playing, but it is hard to differentiate which instruments are being played. With really nice speakers you can differentiate exactly which instruments are playing at any moment in time. Good headphones reduce your need to look at the VDI. You know when you run over a good target and your brain becomes hardwired to the distinct sounds of good targets. That is much easier with quality headphones vs cheap headphones.
  20. They are directly wired into the Tarsacci headphone adapter. No plug in. Screwing the adapter into the Tarsacci creates a waterproof seal that enables the Tarsacci to be submerged in water and the Gray Ghost headphones are waterproof should they be submerged. Totally waterproof setup.
  21. So if I were a new Tarsacci owner and I was dirt hunting, I should experiment with using the GB to reduce the effects of small iron in the soil, use the Salt to reduce the sensitivity to aluminum and quiet the bad ground and keep Sensitivity and Threshold as low as possible to still see the desired targets, but not to enhance the aluminum andiron in the soil? Frequency is for target size with 6.4K for larger higher conductor targets and 18k for smaller low conductor targets? Is this correct or am I over simplifying it?
  22. Geezer, I purchased a set of waterproof gray ghost headphones with a Tarsacci adapter. I purchased them from a forum member, but was told they were made by Tony Eisenhower. For the beach I plug in a set of Black Widow or Killer Bee headphones into a Tarsacci headphone adapters. Better headphones are really valuable on the Tarsacci.
  23. Nice finds Dancer. It's nice to see that you are finally being rewarded for your hard work.
  24. Dancer, Is there any slant to the beach on the wet sand sections?
