I have no idea. I am one who experienced depth change. Sunday I will test with my friend who has not done an update. Possibility it was the conditions, operator error or not. I will be the first to admit any faults. Calabash’s video was a good one even though being his normal snarky self Lol. He is a credit to the industry.

I guess he has a boat load of existing chips he does not wish to take a loss on. Really sad to know such better audio response is possible.

Coiled antenna wire.

I bought a ip 68 connector and cord for my pro golds. Not a big fan of wireless but do have a set of Quest phones for the WS6.. I stand corrected on the 11” coil. I also moded my antenna wire thru the shaft. I coiled it similar to the CTX so I can open and close for transport. I also have a CF straight shaft on the way. We shall see how that works out.

Just to let you know, it is a 12” coil or 9”. Not sure which you had. Your first comment was the machine is not salt water useable yet near the end you were amazed at how well it worked in the salt water wash. I do agree the back phones are a joke. I also would like to see the NOX down around 20 meters. Heck they flooded at 20 inches. To each his own.

Just my 2 cents worth. Your friend was a newbie, as the Deus l was not a beach machine. Does he beach hunt a lot and if so what machine ? The NOX ? My Deus under salt conditions before my update had no problem with a 14k band 5.5 grams at 16 inches measured. I hope everybody buys a Equinox and Legend where I live. 🤣. The Equinox certainly opened up the beach to many more treasure seekers and it has put lots of gold on the table. And it’s apparent you are skilled with the Equinox. My point I guess is what I’m sure you have heard before, the machine is no better than the skills of the operator. Give your friend some time. Good luck everybody.

Well someone was notified of the change I would think. It’s possible someone maybe in the UK uploaded their older version to v0.06 and discovered the large profile screen. Then word of mouth took off. Also do the new machines rolling off the assembly line now have this 3rd profile in their v0.06 ?

Chase, do you know the difference in the v0.05 and the original v0.06 was or is. Maybe that would be an option for me to gain my performance back. Thanks

Depth loss as much as 6” in P 11 & P 12. These are the only two programs I have hunted in as I am a salt water hunter. After yesterday’s first spin with new version 0.06, I noticed only shallow targets pulled from wet and dry sand, as my friend John was pulling deep targets in the same area. I was able to run 99 sensitivity, 0 reactivity, 9 salt where as he could only run 95, 1.5 and 7 respectively. The dashed lines would come randomly off good targets say a penny or a quarter at 6 to 8 inches. Strong audio signal just no TID #. I have judged the depth loss from that spin and air test once I got home. Upon opening emails last night, my friend Denny had sent me a long mail upset describing the same issues I had as he too did the update. The large numbers are nice but for myself and Denny it wrecked our machines so to speak. I do wish they (Deus) would now offer a v0.07 update that is a exact duplicate of the original v0.06 without the large numbers. My two friends and myself have over 35 years detecting each so I feel what we are doing is correct. On another note I was able to run those hot numbers in knee deep salt water also where I would think not possible in P12.

This update has caused the same results for myself and one other friend. Loss of depth and no matter if using XY, Horseshoe or large number profile screen at times now, a strong signal results with no TID only dashed lines which did not happen before loading the new version v0.06. Adding this new profile certainly changed the performance of our machines. Since this profile was just added to the old v0.06 rather than applying a new v0.07, I see no way to return to the old version once you install the new v0.06. This is upsetting to say the least.

Anyone know how to remove the large number v0.06 and return back to the original v 0.06 version ? Thanks

I’m not sure if the new machines now come with these tones or not. He was not clear on that but I ( don’t quote me !!! ) think he said yes. We text back and forth which he does not prefer as it is easier for him to speak English rather than type. I did ask him lastly, could he remove my board and replace with a new one, at a cost savings to me ? He did not answer. I gather he has been bombarded with text. I should say I guess he has been bombarded with text.

Now I’m confused. First you said WS6 wireless phones, now you say WI6 pin pointer. Can you get to any program and push option pairing then select whichever device you are actually trying to pair ?

The button is very hard to push . If you accidentally let it go for a split second won’t pair. You also can go to options, pairing and select phones. Then pair.

Just turn OFF the WS6 module before you do the update. Power off RC when update is Successful and power back on. Your module will be fine.
