  1. No one is going to convince you otherwise. It is 35 years of water hunting that allows us to see this scoop will not work well in waist deep water. After you chase that small target falling through the scoop thinking it is deeper or off to the side, a hybrid scoop would have already done the job. Also, clay, gravel, shell and rocks will destroy this scoop. This scoop has welds and some rough ones if you blow up the picture. Even wet sand will give this scoop trouble. The back plate will start to cave in, and the nose of the skin will become dented and where the plate for the handle is welded will be where it breaks. Can’t tell how long the handle is but if your tall, odds are it’s to short. The one nice thing is it looks like you can raise the handle to 90 degrees. In rough surf that is nice as you can quickly get the nose of the scoop up to trap targets in rough water. I would say, at best this is a dry sand scoop. I wish you all the luck and if you buy a second scoop, I suggest a Stealth 720i or 920i by SunSpot. There are several quality scoops out there though so good luck. Weight is another factor and a nice CF handle lightens the load.
  2. This picture shows what can be hidden under your knobs if careful cleaning does not take place. I thought I was doing a good job but evidently not. I would think the Off switch and delay switch would be different pots from the remaining five. I also had a threshold switch that was missing the sealing ring. Luckily it was caught before submersion.
  3. I think I read or saw on a video, good luck if you use windows 10. I used 7 for my update and all went well. Sorry to hear.
  4. Google Vishay, potentiometers. There is only one ip68 but many ip67 fully sealed. Without opening the case, I’m not sure how anyone could say for sure other than maybe Carl or Alexandre. There are more than one type also used on the AQ it appears by their function. This is just a guess on my part. Interested in the responses.
  5. Just a thought, but what’s to stop someone from stealing it right off of here. Do you have copy rights and what not to protect it ?
  6. I’m not sure about the botched updates other than I do remember reading or hearing certain windows programs would be a challenge and the instructions mention to use 2.0 and 3.0 ports not 1.0. I myself have no idea the difference between the three. There could be some operator error issues also I suspect. I have been lucky I think as all my updates have gone smoothly except there seems to be software flaws that need to be corrected.
  7. I have read of others having issues with the RC locking up. They let the RC run it’s battery down to dead . That unlocked it . Maybe worth a try.
  8. No problems for me. Make sure the dongle is not plugged in to your computer until program is loaded and you click on update V0.7. Turn on RC and options, settings, update, confirm. Then the prompt will have you plug in to your port. That’s all there is to it.
  9. With puck off, turn on RC. Select the wireless phones icon. Then push and hold the - button on the puck for two seconds when prompted. Done.
  10. Mine as well as my two friends who actually own one have the same whatever it is. It’s certainly not a crack though. Seems like others who don’t even own a Deus ll are pushing the crack theory. 🤣
  11. I think it best to let the journal tell the tale and not try to create suspense. Thanks again for your time and effort. It is a good read.
  12. I guess I should have just phrased it “ around the neck “. Thank you.
  13. Excuse my ignorance, but how was it worn ? A chain around the neck ? Thanks, Carolina
  14. I have had my AQ’s close to two years now. I hunt in a salt environment. The AQ is extremely deep for me but 24” is a stretch for a gold ring I think. My deepest ring has been in the 17” range. Maybe I have never run across a 24” ring though. I can say a 17” hole in wet sand, takes a lot of time and effort to achieve. Many would give up. Good luck on your purchase.
  15. Where are you searching ? Dirt, water, sand, fields, program ?
  16. Only Alexandre knows the fate of the AQ. Tom Walsh is CEO but the ball is in Alexandre’s court.
  17. I think he is in diving mode too. As F350Platinum said. Push the top 3 buttons left to right.
  18. At this time, I have not weighed either shaft . I will though and report.
  19. I wanted a longer shaft for the dry, damp and wet sand at the beach for coverage per arc. In the water I run a shorter shaft for better coil control so the stock shaft works well there. I also plan on a somewhat smaller coil that will help with this issue. I am totally happy with both shafts. Each have their purpose.
  20. Just as I suspected. I guess you did not read my post carefully. ( coil only ).
