  1. Was looking at Different websites and Most don't have the Legend in stock(Kellyco also} Pre Ordered mine with a 10% off discount and No Tax and free delivery and UPS will have it to me on Weds.(Final cost $571.50} Winter will not be over in the Poconos for at least another Month so I am glad I was able to be the 1st ones to get one and not sure if the newest update will be installed on it.I feel with the Economy is that there might be a price increase soon since everything else is going up in price.Just Glad that they did not increase the price today.................JT
  2. Need to wait for iron bias for the Legend to be able to hit the gold chain. I hope it does. Note Added By Moderator - this thread perfectly highlights the dangers of trusting internet videos. Do read the entire thread before passing judgement.
  3. Has anyone figured out how to do a factory reset on this machine? cjc
  4. Production model Legend without iron bias update, tested for durability and depth by Paystreak Superfreak.
  5. Does anyone know how many Legends were shipped out in the initial shipment to dealers in the US ??, a couple each 10 each or is this info still unknown Since I am not seeing many post about people receiving their Legend yet I am assuming the initial shipment was not many, which is kind of disconcerting to me, and yes believe me I know what assumption does for someone, if the US and Canada was the first countries to have the Legend shipped to its kind of puzzling why there are not more post being put up giving peoples thoughts on it, I have seen a few in the UK and a couple other countries but I am starting to think things are being held up in customs in the US and Canada which to me is crazy it should not take this long once they have been sent out by the manufacturer Maybe Nokta/Macro can chime in and shed some light on it Appreciate others thoughts
  6. These two videos pretty much tells me the legend can pass the test iffy signals posted up with a little tweaking of settings on the legend with out a adjustable iron bias seems pretty dang good to me out of the box.
  7. Legend, First Look... -very, very nice build quality—very solid feel but much lighter than the Anfibio. Wand telescopes in and out much more cleanly. Coil is a tiny bit heavier than the AF28 to accommodate the MF winding. -overall a nicely balanced unit-not so light as to make a larger coil “top heavy.” -lot of information on the screen keeps all of your choices visible, very well laid out. Super fast access to any feature / adjustment. Maybe takes a bit of getting used to just how much is there. 1st day I’m already flying around it. -great sounding audio, not “bitty,” nice faint range, not over-modulated. -good tones come though the digital noises well, even at high Sensitivity levels. Reminds me more of the CTX than the NOX—full, strong sounding tones, clean processing and target assignment. (Indoor testing tells you a lot about how a machine handles any kind of interference). -recovery speed just barely takes air test targets at full on--(so much for any of these “conclusive” on-ground videos). This is a feature that’s designed to work in ground while processing the full MF signal and ground. I would add that an Iron Bias control, added to this speed has the potential to clip / loose targets—possibly the reason why N/M initially opted for a pre-set. Where you have a lot of corroded or alloyed metal though (such as bottle caps), adjustable Iron Bias certainly improves the versatility and effectiveness of the machine. Not a feature to be taken lightly though—an advanced setting. -turned down to Rec Spd 2, unit passes “iron cross” test with a medium sized band and two rusted spikes. Perfect tone and ID. -big difference between M1 and M2 settings M2 has much more low conductor sensitivity, livelier, sharper tone overall. -good, versatile selection of single FQs. I like the addition of “10” kHz as a “middle” high conductor / bad ground search mode. If the Anfibio is any indication I know that the 20 kHz will be sharp on gold and nimble in iron. -Gold mode—the audio of this mode shows the sophistication of the filtering / processing. Clean, fast responses. Looks like a great fresh water black sand / edge “cherry picker.” -I like the addition of a Stability control to augment (or even stand in for) normal signal balancing methods that often take a lot of trial and error to use effectively. Doesn’t seem to constrain the signal that much in air-seems like a combination of (lowered) FQ weighting and a low level adjustment of Discriminate and 1st Tone Break? I know for sure that this feature will allow the use of higher Sensitivity settings. cjc
  8. Production model Legend with preset fixed iron bias (not updated) recovery speed and ferrous/non ferrous masking video tests from the UK by a very experienced detector tester and user.
  9. Folks this is my first spin at the beach with the Legend. I ended up with a bunch of lead sinkers, some toasty beach clad and two silver rings. Gold was stingy, there were a total of four hunters at this beach and only one got a gold ring. I did a little testing on the salt sensitivity setting, but I don't think this is a beach where it would be beneficial. I want to test that feature at another beach as well before I make any comments/release video on it.
  10. As long as iron bias mitigates the scenarios presented in this video, this will be a great machine: Next up will be a day at the beach.
  11. I always weigh the detectors as an important part of my testing procedure . Here are the results : CC : coil cover RC : Deus2 wireless control box 1) DETECTORS WEIGHTS : --------------------------- - Deus2 9" , RC in the pocket without CC = 800g ( estimation based on NCtoad's post ) - Deus2 11" , RC in the pocket without CC = 880g - Deus2 11" , RC in the pocket + CC = 930g - Deus2 9" ,, RC on shaft without CC = 950g ( estimation based on NCtoad's post ) - Deus2 11" , RC on shaft without CC = 1030g - Equinox 11" without CC = 1260g - Legend 11" without CC = 1320g ( estimation based on cal_cobra's post ) - Deus2 9" , RC on shaft + CC = 990g ( see NCtoad's post ) - Deus2 11" , RC on shaf + CC = 1080g - Equinox 11" + CC = 1320g - Legend 11" + CC = 1370g ( see cal_cobra's post ) 2) PARTS WEIGHTS : ---------------------- - Coil without CC : - Deus2 9" = 330g ( see NCtoad's post ) - Deus2 11" = 420g - Equinox 11" = 420g - Legend 11" = ? - Coil with CC : - Deus2 9" = 370g ( see NCtoad's post ) - Deus2 11" = 470g - Equinox 11" = 470g - Legend 11" = ? - Control Box/RC : - Deus2 = 150g - Equinox = 320g estimation ( digital cb plus battery minus plastic handle) - Legend = ? 12. Dear Valued Members, This is to confirm that, based on the amount of messages we got from end users after the live reveal yesterday asking for an Iron Bias setting, our engineers have started working on it already and we have decided to make the update available as soon as the engineers are done. Customers will be able to easily update their units on PC or Mac platforms. THANK YOU!
  13. Iffy SIgnals uploaded a couple new Legend Videos…. Hope I did this correctly.
  14. the-legend-user-manual-en.pdf the-legend-brochure-en.pdf
  15. Iffy Signals has his Nokta Makro Legend Production Unit and made this introductory video of the new changes to the menu. Great looking detector.
  16. Just a question for the guys who have used the legend and the deus. I have a deus and was wondering how the recovery/reactivity compared?
  17. It will be replacing my Equinox 800 and my Orx will be my backup water hunter. I like the sharp tones & the depth of the Legend. I'm also looking forward to seeing some videos of the updated version. Also looking forward to seeing what coils will be available for this detector. Hopefully more than the Equinox.
  18. https://fb.watch/babWm_9TAy/ And she answers some questions on mis information on the net. Imagine that mis information on the net.
  19. hi to all im currently using the equinox 600 and considering upgrading to nokta legend i only metal detect underwater so the underwater performance of the machine is very important to me also the customer support is very important too unfortunately minelab is an export machine in my country and the parts of it are very hard to find in my country fox example the koss headphones is very hard to find in here etc etc what are your thoughts is it worth getting the legend ?
  20. I hope the Legend has different coil options. If it doesn't I don't know if I'll get it. I would like to be able to choose the coil I want with it when I buy it but I know that probably won't happen.
  21. For those that don't use Facebook here is the latest legend update from Dilek, she's been absent recently as she caught Covid pretty bad, but she's OK now. It sounds like the Legend is still very much a work in progress. I always thought USB updating was so you could do updates after release also, but it seems they want to do as much as possible before releasing it at the cost of annoying those waiting on it. Which strategy is best is anyone's guess. Perhaps announcing it a couple of years ago and then setting a date and never meeting that is starting to bite them, no longer will they set a date, it will be ready when it's ready. One thing a bit odd is they've recalled all the testers units, so now there will be no more tester videos, they've all been sent back to Nokta and some of the testers will be getting given a new detector with the updates on it, however they've repeatedly said the only updates are software, so why not just let them update the new software on their test detector rather than waste time and money shipping them all back to Nokta and shipping out new units? Doesn't make much sense does it? I find the lack of iron bias setting explanation to be ridiculous, I'd rather decide myself how I want to deal with that, and I'm not even what I'd consider a power user, but I like to have that level of control.
