  1. Got rid of my Nox800 last week Today I found a dealer with 10% off and No Tax on the Legend (10% coupon expires tonight},like all the other detector stores with them being NOT IN STOCK,But I am sure they will get it whenever(Hope its not too long}I had to buy it since I have a Credit Bonus with my Credit card for $213 makes the detector costing me $358.31..Glad I have a hobby getting New Credit cards every few months for the Cash Bonus.............JT
  2. The attached pdf file is a brief side by side comparison of the Minelab Equinox 800 eight (8) search modes/profiles to the Nokta Makro Legend four (4) search modes per their respective "User Manuals". Hopefully you will be able to open & preview the file by just "clicking" on the attached file below. Nox Manual vs Legend Manual.pdf
  3. A variety of coins tested on the Legend: U.S. $1 gold coin 23 V nickles 24-25 U.S. $5 gold coin 38 Crusty zinc 38 IHC 40 Clean zinc 42 Early "green" wheatie 42 Later "orange" wheatie 45 Canadian copper small cent 45 silver dime 45-46 Silver quarter 52 Morgan silver dollar 59-60 Will post more as I can. 4. The new Legend manual is on Nokta's site! It's not the final version as Dilek stated there needs to be a few changes made. https://www.noktadetectors.com/wp-content/file-download/the-legend/the-legend-user-manual-en.pdf
  5. What is the differences between the “range of simultaneous multi frequencies” utilized in both the Equinox 800 detecting modes and the Nokta Makro Legend modes? Here is my attempt to explain my concern: Per the ML Equinox 800 user manual the Equinox provides four (4) detecting modes: Park, Field, Beach, Gold; plus eight (8) profiles divided in two (2) pairs per mode: such as Park 1, Park 2, Field 1, Field 2, etc; and one (1) custom user profile side button. Park 1, Field 1, Beach 1 & Beach 2 are “weighted” on the “lower simultaneous multi frequency range”. Park 2, Field 2, Gold 1 & Gold 2 are “weighted” on “ higher simultaneous multi frequency range. The NM Legend has four (4) detecting modes: Park, Field, Beach (dry & wet) & Goldfield; zero (0) profiles such as Park 1, Park 2, etc; and four (4) user custom modes. All the detecting modes, per NM all modes are optimized for depth. Currently NM has not addressed nor is there a specification “weighing” the range of simultaneous multi frequencies (low, mid, high) utilized in any of the NM Legend’s detecting modes. The YouTube video “Pasture 1” find of a thin coin indicates the “Field mode” may be utilizing a higher SMF range. When the Legend’s user manual is available online perhaps Nokta Makro will explain how simultaneous multi frequencies are utilized or weighed specific to each of the NM Legend four (4) detecting modes. Do the math 4x2 =8; 4x1=4; 4-8= -4. Certainly an answer I will be looking for prior to placing a pre-order or purchase.
  6. As I watch all the videos on the Legend and the Deus 11 I’m just wondering were I really want to spend my money. The Legend it being half the price of the Deus 11 I don’t have to sell anything. My kids knowing I was thinking about buying another detector gave me cash for Christmas. The only problem I’m having on watching all the videos on the Legend I’ve seen more excitement in a funeral home over a dead body than I have it . Here you got the Deus 11 twice price and I have to sell my soul ( Talking about my Nox 800 that I bought just lately it being the third one) that being my Nox I’d have to take a hit on to buy the Deus 11. At this point I’m just watching videos because that’s what is going to sell me not the difference in price. So far the videos that Calabash is making is winning on the Deus 11 and he could sell someone at the North Pole a refrigerator if nothing else a ice chest. The main thing with Calabash he’s all do show and tell. Come hell are high water he’s got you there with him. I don’t want something just some better than my Nox. I want something that stands out from any detector I’ve had in the past. If it can’t do that then Nox you’re not going anywhere. Sitting on a picket fence is starting to hurt so if you see my Nox for sale you know I got off of it. Chuck
  7. Nothing scientific, it's the first test I did on the Legend so I could get familiar with a variety of targets one could encounter when detecting in the U.S. I do a quick walk thru testing Field Mode in full tones on a variety of targets to check out the Target ID aka TID and audio characteristics, as well as some of the settings of this new Equinox challenger as we get ready to take it to the field!!
  8. New video by Iffy Signals with less Legend screen glare showing target ID stability on his iron polluted test bed target garden and a US nickel comparison depth test of 4", 6" and 8" showing Legend's non ferrous low conductor target ID stability. I really appreciate his calm, no nonsense delivery without any exaggerations or unintended possible bias.
  9. This is what I came away with after listening to the November Nokta Makro presentation/release video of “The Legend” SMF detector: The NM Legend uses a different multi frequency (SMF-true simultaneous multi frequency) for detecting search modes “Park”, “Field” and two different multi frequency for both dry & wet in “ Beach” mode. With the beach/wet SMF covering salt water & wet salt beach sand without sacrificing depth for even small gold. I did not hear was a specific reference to SMF in the “Goldfield” mode. The Legend has four (4) modes “Park”, “Field”, “Beach” and “ Goldfield” all optimized for depth. For dealing with target separation on trashy sites the Legend has an ID scale of 1 to 60, gives accurate ID at depth, provides an audio response for target separation, and “ferrocheck” for identifying modern trash. From the specifications The Legend has four (4) custom user profiles; and though it is not indicated I think you can adjust the “recovery speed” for any of the four (4) custom user profiles. I gather from the ML Equinox 800 Instruction manual that the Equinox provides four (4) detecting search modes: Park, Field, Beach, Gold; eight (8) profiles with two (2) pairs per search mode: Park 1, Park 2, Field 1, Field 2, Beach 1, Beach 2, Gold 1, Gold 2; and one custom user profile side button. Park 1, Field 1, Beach 1 & Beach 2 utilize a “lower multi frequency range” at a “lower recovery speed”. Park 2, Field 2, Gold 1 & Gold 2 utilize a “ higher multi frequency range at a “ higher recovery speed”. My understand is that increases in “recovery speed” increases target separation while reducing Target ID at depth and reducing search depth. With decreases in “recovery speed” reduces target separation while increasing Target ID at depth and increasing search depth. I do not currently have a multi frequency detector. Is it correct to think that saving the Legend’s four (4) custom user profiles to address “target separation” on trashy or highly mineralized sites may get to where the ML Equinox 800 starts. Or is there a work around?
  10. Have you ever been looking for something and can’t find it but yet it’s was right in front of you ! I know myself I was looking for a hammer the other day but it was there and at first I couldn’t see it. This is why I believe the Legend is being sent out at the last moment to finalize that all is well with it . The engineers working everyday with the Legend may over look a simple glitch that a tester in the field may catch it right away.. Being a detector now days may be more programming than electronic it can be corrected before it gets into the customer hands . I know I go to the pantry all the time looking for something I want to eat and tell my wife I can’t find it. Right off she’s say it’s right there in front of you and like always you can’t see it. It makes me feel so good when she can’t find it either. I know we’ve waited a very long time for the Legend and the way it looks the wait is not over yet. I do believe we won’t be disappointed and great things come to those who are willing to wait. Merry Christmas to you and may God bless you and yours. Chuck

  12. THE LEGEND SHIPPING UPDATE! 12/15/21 FROM NOKTA MAKRO #TheLegend #Update #NoktaMakro Nokta Makro is fine tuning the a “Legend” based on requests from field testers; shipping may be in late December or January; English version of manual may be available online next Friday.
  13. Kellyco interviewed Dilek and they spoke about an easter egg on the box...Anyone heard of this or no what it is?
  14. Curious if the Legend is compatible with the Pulse Dive pointer and maybe the Green headphones. Anyone know?
  15. I have decided to buy this machine . I think it will work well and i also think Minelab is going to have a big thorn in its Equinox side with this one. But it wont replace my Nox. I will give Minelab a chance to bring something out that i want . As for the Deus 11 , thats a straight swap for the Deus 1 plus cash.
  16. Nokta has posted a video on the Nokta Facebook page with a sample of the Legend's tones. https://www.facebook.com/230504936963369/posts/7020832324597229/
