Your 3 Favorite Finds Of 2019. Here's Mine

My three favorite finds of 2019 are a US civil war belt buckle, what I believe to be a US civil war bridal rosette, and a 1776 Spanish 1 reale coin.

2019 was a good year for me.  I was able to retire in June and spend more time detecting.  I also obtained permission to a 1800's private home site.  My favorite 3 coins were a 1890 "V" nickel ( one of four, 1892, 1904 & 1910 also) a 1891 Indian Head Penny and a 1914 Buffalo Head Nickel.

Some seriously nice history saves and great pics everyone, keep them coming.  Chase, the 1830 Half Reale is a heart throb.  The US Plate is stop you in your track Seth and you should be proud, even your Reale is tops. Joel, those are really good coins for a SD digger as Dakota is not really that old.  What I like is the patina on the coins.  Your soil must be perfect.  BTW, the 1914 Buff looks nice too.  Thanks for sharing guys.

UPDATE to my 1915-S/13-S Barber Quarter.  Yes the one I posted a pic of is indeed as a couple folks mentioned the 1915.  So at the bank today and into the vault I'm digging around and find the 3 Barber Quarters I dug in 1 hole.  I check the dates and sure enough, one of them is the Key Date 1913-S.  I'm going to try and post a video of when I dug them, as you can tell by my voice, I was upset and pissed off.  My reason?  Watch the video to see and then chime in and tell me, if you would have expected differently?

2019 was a good detecting year for me so it's a bit hard to pick my best 3 finds but i will go with these .

William 1V English Half Crown .  Big silvers are hard to find on the goldfields here and a William 1V thanks to it's limited vintage is very rare . While this one is very worn and the obverse smooth i am very happy to have found it .

 

 

Cricket buckles are keenly sought after in Australia by relic hunters . I have been told that this one is from the Philadelphia Cricket Club , USA .

 

 

And after 8 years of detecting i nailed a gold coin from the dirt a few weeks ago . A very nice 1876  full Sovereign .
