Popular Post Joe Beechnut OBN
One 18k Art Deco ring...1930's, Diamonds and looks like it had blue stones that filled in the gaps.. one remains. ? Five Silvers, and a few other time period pieces...Almost 4 hours out..Jelly fish are gone.. were hundreds, ........seen 3.. Recon ..with Excalibur Report to myself.... 500 foot long area, Chest to shoulder deep ..parallel to shore..Markers 5 to the east..Marker 1 west....Markers are crab pot buoy's Sand moved in...more to the east, with some iron mixed, plenty of good targets between 1 and 3 markers, fades out 4 n 5.....area I was going to check with the "AQ" has now moved, covered by sand. . Coins seem to be further out between 1 n 3, One concentrated area of iron possible crab trap pieces (marker 2) Future..........AQ hunt area ........markers 1 to 2..and slope for deep gold in chest deep....from Markers 1 to 3. Gold ring found between Marker 2 and 3 bottom of slope...I feel sand on the slope holds gold for the pattern of this area most gold is found in the deep sand slope.......coins in the flat........... (Most of the bad targets are marked, holes dug and not filled on bad targets) Good for about two weeks, July 20th...... I can tell when I start to dig these targets for the consistency of the sand is different, softer. Be back to this beach when the water levels drop, things don't change much there unless major winds. Headed to another spot Saturday to get a damage report.

GB_Amateur
Did the tropical storm have a significant impact on your areas? I seem to recall you saying that since you hunt a bay, often the stroms don't affect you much. I assume that is because the bay is protected from the surge from storms offshore. This one went right over the top of you? Nice finds (as always) and I look forward to your future hunts in this same area with the Fisher Impulse.
Joe D.
Joe, Great finds! Cool ring! Those coins are encrusted the same, and conditioned the same, as the walking half i found earlier this year in fresh water! Too bad they don't hold up better! But the ring is in great condition! If it's real Art Deco,(maker's mark??) should definitely be more valuable than melt! It should be a keeper!!??

I would not say significant but it did impact the first beach some, I record the real time winds, water level and storm location ever 30 minutes from 9am to 3pm during it's passing right over us...Now it's time to see how my recorded stats play when compared to what I find.

HH Mike Mike they moved them last September ..killed me. But I have got to know the bottom so well I can sense from the level (drop off) and past dug holes where I am.

Thanks Joe.........Sad about the silver for sure but it does add to the melt silver going in...last weight on that was 2450 grams....No makers mark on the ring, other then a fineness mark. No doubt Art Deco...just wish the blue stones were still in it...then it would really be stunning. I found a similar on line if I find it again I show how the blue stones really set it off...
