Popular Post The_Stalker
I was able to get to the beach for three days last week. It should have been 7 days but appointments and dinner engagements made that impossible. Targets were not very deep and I was suprised to see competition on the beach. I guess everyone thought the hurricane earlier would cause opportunity. Here is the picture of the final digs. 10 2 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/20182-went-to-the-beach/ Share on other sites

Walker1200
What a great few days of recoveries, congrats! The MDT is hard to beat at a Salt beach IMO. Are the (spanish?) Cobs real? -Kerry Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/20182-went-to-the-beach/#findComment-216765 Share on other sites

The_Stalker
Kerry, No the cobs are not real. Someone thinks it's funny to throw them on the beach. George and Chris, I hope you are well and have a wonderful holiday season with the ones you love. The most interesting find is to the right of the crucifix. It's a coin spill of 2 nickels and a quarter encased in sandstone. Very little down low. Most of the targets were in the upper half ot the wet sand. 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/20182-went-to-the-beach/#findComment-216852 Share on other sites
Walker1200
Dang thats frustrating. Some people have nothing better to do. Do you get into the water with the MDT? Thats where I end up spending most of my time. Cheers! -Kerry Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/20182-went-to-the-beach/#findComment-216855 Share on other sites
The_Stalker
Kerry, I rarely get into the water, because it is usually cold from October thru May and tends to be sanded in by the time summer rolls around. Fortunately my competition on the beach seems to be someone swinging an Equinox like a 9 iron from 150 yards and looks like they are late for a date with the restroom. Most of the gold that I find is between low and high tide line on scratchy marginal signals. I keep reading that the Tarsacci has poor tonal quality. I must disagree. I rarely hunt by numbers, but a good tone from the Tarsacci will stop me in my tracks instantly. I guess my tip is get the best set of headphones possible. 2 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/20182-went-to-the-beach/#findComment-217174 Share on other sites
