Dates look like 1789-2797? I also found one of those Presidential coins in the yard of the house I am currently living in just recently and a friend that came and detected with me in a park across the street from my house also found one

Thanks Well I'm certainly no authority on Minie Balls. I see no evidence of a conical base but it is pretty mangled. The caliber might be too small. Plus, most dug Minie Balls are white from being in the ground for well over a century. Maybe one of the bullet experts out there can chime in.

If I didn’t see those rings on it, it would be in a trash can somewhere most certainly. since I found a bust capped dime that’s worn to crap, and a large cent, that’s worn to nothing also, in this same park, it does seem like a possibility. It is mangled, looks like it’s a piece of an older bullet.

Is the sea turtle silver ? Thanks, in NC we can basically hunt year round, at least in this area. Ground really doesn’t freeze. But it does get cold in January, February. The sea turtle was coming up a 12 on the Nox 800 in the Tot lot. I don’t see any markings on it thou, I was hoping it was gold with those numbers. 1
