So, the lesson here is the same old same old. One detector doesn't do it all in all ground conditions. But we all know that, don't we? Give me the 6000 any day. But that is in my mainly very mild ground conditions here in New Zealand. Of course for others of you that will be different.  Horses for courses.

Friend this SDC 2300 goes deep or reaches up to 15 centimeters in mineralized soil.

Some interesting thoughts from users of both.

Im leaning towards buying a sdc for its compact design, its waterproof, and how it handles noisy ground.

For where i go i think the sdc would suite better (ability to put it in a backpack for long hikes) but the coil knuckle setup up has always felt awkward to me.

Currently using the 7000 but now heading into territory that has big rivers that need crossing and don't want to drop the zed in the water
