Does anyone use the model 24 Phoenix from Predator Tools if so how do you like it or not  against other brands and why ?  Thanks  Coyote

I had one for a while. IMHO, it works great in soft ground but not the best choice for tough ground. The Predator Tools Spartan is what I use most of the time.

I use the Ranger. With its 11" blade it is the deepest digger, there is another with a T handle but I prefer the D handle. The T handle is the Piranha.

To me the Phoenix seems a bit wide, especially for digging small plugs when you know the target isn't deep. The Ranger is also good for that.

I use the Predator tools model 24 Phoenix shovel all the time, I never leave home with out it whether I go out detecting for coins, or nuggets, the best shovel on the market rite now

the only thing I wish the handle was a little bit longer on the Phoenix shovel

you might also look at the Hurricane shovel mad by Predator tools, the Hurricane is the same as the Phoenix shovel but has a T handle instead of the D handle, and is longer than the Phoenix shovel

Came in yesterday, looks great, just waiting for the ground to dry some so I can get out and use it..
