Sourdough Scott
Purchased a small hand rock crusher. Going to crush samples as I find them when detecting and prospecting. I don't know a whole lot about hardrock and pocket gold. So any tips or suggested reading is helpful. Thanks.

Trent King
Get yourself a fine sieve and sieve out the fine powder intermitantly while crushing otherwise it all gums up in the bottom ? The wifes flour sieve will do if you dont have a set ?
whitebutler
Well Scott, I know a little bit in pocket hunting. I know that to locate I have found small bits very low on an already worked area. After finding bits I then chase them up till they stop. After they stop ( they bring the bits) I then work backwards both sides of the draw. It's like loaming. Once I find what side of a draw is best (keeping in mind it could be just erosion by water and frost heave) I hunt till it runs out and the again go backwards. It a process of elimination and deduction. I have only been around to find three pockets so far. I'm still very new to pocket hunting but just elimination works best. Get aftrit!
