  1. This nugget took almost a half an hour to dig up. It was 16" deep. I shortened down the whole process best I could while showing it was very difficult to dig up. Enjoy the video. Watch through to the end to see what it took. Some nuggets won't go down easy.
  2. This is what I am finding with my 5000 in the Gold Basin/ Meadview area with my Gpx5000, three different days out detecting, recently.
  3. I have been detecting full-time for gold nuggets since October of 2021 and the gold is my main source of income. My back is against the wall. Every day when it comes to finding gold, I must think outside the box and come up with strategies to keep myself in the gold. Everything I learn I share, just ask Gold Ryder. I am forced to produce. At times it is very challenging, stressfull and I am forced to persevere. When I pull something like this nugget out or my 18 gramer, it makes everything worthwhile.
  4. I got this nugget today by applying things out of my book today. If you happen to be out of the USA. I do ship out of country. It is definitely worth the extra shipping if you are.
  5. The 5000 is an easy detector to learn. In my opinion anyway. It can do a lot and has lots of combinations. Taking the time out in the field and playing with all settings and combinations is what will give a guy confidence in the 5000's potential.
  6. Nevada Brian, I really don't have much problems with hot rocks. I will hit one once in awhile but I just flip it into enhance, ground balance and if it is gone or greatly reduced, then it is a hot rock. Sharp runs so very smooth. It is a breath of fresh air compared to the 6000.
  7. I have gone back to my 5000 as being my primary go to detector as it is getting me bigger gold. Myself along with three others did some tests with the 6000, 7000, 4500, 5000, modded 4000, and modded 5000 bith by detectronic Australia and the 5000 and 4500 got best depth and signal response on 1/2 oz and 3/4 oz nuggets at depth over the 6000, 7000 and modded 4000. I may get my 5000 modded, but am waiting to see how my buddy does with his modded 5000. I am certain my 5000 with 15" Evo, deep in front, Sharp timing deep audio, 12 gain 7 stabilizer is getting me 1.5 g nuggets deeper than my 6000 and the 7000. I hit a 1.58 gram nugget at 16" deep in a tight spot pounded with the 6000 and 7000. When I got the 5000 in there set how I mentioned above I got an unmistakable target signal where the other two were quite with no signal. I then put it in Sensitive extra, fine gold, general as well as tried all the other audio settings and I got no signals at all. I have it on video. And I have pulled two other nice nuggets out of the ground using my settings I mentioned above. I will probably never take it out of deep in front and deep audio. Sharp is the timing of choice that is getting me results. If the ground is shallow then I use Fine Gold but keep all other settings the same. It is getting me results.
  8. I get about 4 hours on each battery. Some days I run both empty in about 6.5 hours
  9. I got a new back up battery last October and got a new replacement for my main battery in February of this year and both are not lasting one full day, in the same day. I gotta call John DeArmitt back in a couple minutes about this. Frustrating. Never have this kind of issues with my 5000 battery.
  10. Here is my newest video. I have crossed over the 500 subscribers threshold. Thank you to all on here that have subscribed to my channel. I'm still short on the watch time. I am trying to keep the times down on the videos so most everyone watches through to the end. But some videos need certain areas left in. This is to show how long it took to dig a nugget out, or something else I felt was important to convey reality of something or other relating to gold detecting. I am going to try to upload two videos a week to whittle down the hours watch problem. It is a problem for me as to how soon I can implement options from YouTube to help supplement my gold finds. I do plan on setting up three outings each year once I get to this point and able to setup a Patreon channel. There will be one in Montana, one in Nevada, and one in Arizona. I will also be starting YouTube shorts to hopefully broaden viewership across YouTube. I have been met with frustration today with that. However I think I may have it sorted out and you may very soon see shorts showing up. Thanks to everyone on here that has been supportive of Gold Seeker Adventures.
  11. I still have a couple videos from Montana I should get uploaded. This is one of them. I will incorporate them in-between the Nevada Videos.
  12. The Gold Bug 2 was around 71-72 Khz. It's been around for decades now.
  13. Thanks Drellim. You are correct, I have less stress. I still have stress, especially with earning money to keep bills paid and food on my table, but this thing of having to detect every day to retrieve gold is challenging and exciting. It forces me to constantly think outside the box on where to run my coil over. At times I am dragging ass sore and tired out swinging and I go on autopilot with periods of extreme focus. Even though it can get like this having to do this every day in order to stay afloat, it doesn't ever get old or mundane. Every day is a new adventure. What will I come across today? Run in with a rattlesnake, scorpion, a fall, seeing an animal I have never seen before in my intire life, geologic event, whatever it may be, it keeps things entertaining. My days are so full of things I have to do, between looking for gold, observing OnXHunt looking for clues, camp chores, of which there are a lot in order to keep critters at bay, editing videos, making dinner and doing dishes in less than simple and fast conditions and setting mouse and rat traps, only to have the ants rob all the bait before the mice and rats come out at night. It is rewarding but hard. Every day there is something taking place that makes me shake my head in annoyance. Throw on top of this, I can be somewhat of a clutsy person having mishaps almost every day, keeping me on my toes, coming up with better solutions to do things and learning what things to do and not do. 😊
  14. Well the nugget is gone!!! Now to find the next big one and a lot of smaller ones.
  15. Im looking for a good strike but I don't count on it. If I can make 3 grams a day I am fine. It doesn't happen every day as qe all know but days like yesterday help make up the difference. I've thot about going back to society and paying even more bills but I honestly don't know what I would or could do with my skills. If there is something out there in Montana, I haven't thought of it yet that I wouldn't be struggling as bad or worse. I got three nuggets today. Buyers are coming by today to take a look at this nugget/specimen.
  16. Because this summer's gold recovery at my claims. Wasn't so good so I wasn't able to head down here with much funds. Then two friends said, go to Winnemucca. Well it is never a good expect to find good gold in a new area. I found twenty something nuggets in Winnemucca region, but I had to get to where I knew the ground and had a shot at recouping my finances. This is all a gamble. Everything with all of us. Some have it better than others. More security. I have no security with finances. I have book sales and gold sales of what I can find. I don't get to keep any gold I find. There were a lot of pieces I would have liked to have kept. At least for a while, like last year. But, now it all has to go as I find it to keep myself afloat. I pray most days before or on my way to hunt and I give my success or failer each days as it arrives to Jesus. I know I can't live this type of life without his help. I asked for his help yesterday morning and he knows my situation and he placed me over this piece of gold. Me finding it is Jesus's glory not mine. That is the way I look at each day any more. I make the most out of what I have to work with and it is bringing me back to leaning on Christ.
  17. I went out this morning and around 8:00 am I got my first target and it was this nice nugget. I had two more targets, which turned out to be lead. EMI got so bad by 9:00 am that I couldn't hunt anymore. But I made wages today. That's good because I am down to $16.00 to my name 🤣.
  18. I've used mine in the field and yes I like it. A lot! I didn't have any full batteries left at that point if the day so I could film it. I am planning to film live digs using it. That will be some time soon
  19. I haven't tried any of the pulse induction pinpointers, but in my opinion this is the most sensitive pinpointer I've come across or seen in action. And a few short years ago the Minelab pinpointer had the highest khz. The retune is fast and effective.
  20. Hope this helps some of you. This is by far a nugget Shooter's pinpointer. Just what I have been wanting for a long long time.
  21. I just heard someone over at Gold Basin almost got bit by a rattlesnake. It struck at him and it hit a box next to his leg. This news makes me want to check my tent right now 🤣😂.
  22. I ran into this today after I found a 1.1 gram nugget with my Gpx5000.
