First thought the rosie was clad and the cross some kiddie bling until I got home hehe.

Not a whole lot of time to dig the banks here with the tide you get maybe an hour or so. May have to toss the waders on and hit the edges of the gravel beds if I can. Doin well on lead edges of the gravel where stuff gets caught up in the rocks. Mud usually just has modern stuff. Inside curves is the best. Seems that way for most rivers anways. Was lucky the weather has been nice cold and damp so not many boaters today.

Back at the river, had some drizzle so I took the Kruzer out. Hitting along the banks I found bit of clad, pile of sinkers, round 2 piece button no back, a 47 rosie and this Masionic pendant that tested to be 10k gold, has some diamond chips in the middle and looks like onyx for the cross. Not cloisenette, actually cut stones so thinking this is an oldie. Pin in back is long gone and ribbon probbly rotted away. Has a name and lodge location which I scrubbed out. Will try to find and see if the ower is still alive or not. Initial searches for the name are not showing anything. Pendant weighs 8g.

Funny I found more seated dimes than merc, wasn't until a couple years ago I found one. Pretty good shape on that one.

There is a market for a pi pointer that can pick up small gold. No idea what kind they are making though.

Cool pretty soon you can make an even trade for a bitcoin towards a TRX :)

Could be an old drop, all depends on the ground conditions. Found old seated dimes and quarters that look great. Very nice find, congrats.

25mm Diameter Old Copper, Need Help With ID If Possible.

Not a half penny, think I already found one and have it put away. This is much thinner so after talkig to dogodog I think he is right and it's an early kg 1740's or there abouts. -
Wanted to shave a little off in weight off the Apex after I got inspired from Palzynski's setup so I snagged one of Steve's detecor rods for the Apex. Shaves about 30g off of the total weight bringing the stock machine with the mid sized Viper coil down to 1206g. Love the quick clip which makes adjusting easier. Fantastic quality to the shaft and looks sweet. Big Thanks to Steve. Shaft can be found here: https://www.stevesdetectorrods.com/

Now I would repaint them in a different color and put them back........ might blow their minds :)

Air Metal Detectors Now Shipping To Backers
kac replied to ☠ Cipher's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
The machine looks pretty descent and audio is pretty good. Only other concern is using the phone as a screen in the bright sun. Not sure if you guys have trouble seeing your screen in the sun but I do. -
I can see how the Ripper can work well, the length on the Viper can make it tricky to isolate targets in higher trash areas.

Curious what kind of delay you have from the coil to detector. -
The narrow coil handles the tougher areas very well and not shabby on depth either. Be curious how that Superfly does on it so please let us know. I use the Superfly on my Multi Kruzer and it is really nice though I do swap it out for the stock for wooded areas just because the narrower coils are easier to navigate the obstructions.

Looks like those rocks go under the sand. I bet you find a lot of drops caught up just under that sand.

Rechargeable " Canned Air " Blower
kac replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
I use one of these on optical equipment like my cameras and sla printer. It also works well on keyboards etc. Bought it from BH Photo Video, good company to do business with but they removed my 5 star rating because I said my cat hates it. :( -
Those rocks look tough to pick through, got gravel beds up here with some sizable rocks that can be worked loose with a digger, not sure about that area though.

Another Pinpointer Being Planned At Nokta/Makro
kac replied to ☠ Cipher's topic in Nokta / Makro Metal Detectors
Finding the ProFind 35 is more stable with my AT Pro and Apex than my other machines. Suspecting it falses from incompatibility. Previous 2 PF's where replaced under warranty. Not a bad pointer but for stability the Nokta Pulse Dive pointer is really nice. Now if Nokta is making a new one then a PI pointer with auto ground balance to address finding small targets in tough ground would be a winner. I do like the replacable tip they have on the Pulse Dive. -

I find quite a few of those here in the woods where people hunt, not sure if they are old just toss them in a box. -
Seeking Alternative Machine For Underwater Hunting
kac replied to Argyris's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
Detector Pro at 2.4khz is very week to gold so it might be just ok on silver rings and clad. In the water the Seahunter with 8" coil does pretty well, 10x14 had much better depth but both will hit all targets so the discrimination may trim out some small foil but not iron nails without loosing too much. Average beaches with not too much trash the Seahunter is very good for the price. -
Was wondering what that bronze thing was... if you got a bell that can use it ill pop it in the mail.

Been hitting the river a bit here tryin to catch the tides just right and beat the heat. Using pretty much zero mode with iron audio down low and MF handles the emi and gravel bets just fine can often run the machine flat out or just down a notch on sensitivity. Snagged a couple flat buttons and this 1797 large cent that isn't in half bad shape considering the area. Usually they are completely roasted.
