  1. Ya thats exactly what i was talking about. Thank u. I here ya seems odd having to cut it, its pretty flimsy to but it worked amazing. I just want it to drop it in my dredge sluice to knock down my cons to carry out. It works amazing , fast, and is easy to clean out. Most importantly didnt have a spec in the tailings, i meen it wasnt a huge cleanout, maybe a 1/4"oz but everything else i treid always lost sum.
  2. Some buddies of mine that were dredging down streem from me last year let me use there letrap to do a cleanup from my 6, and man it worked great! Not a spec in the taillings and ive tested several other sluices and has found a disapointing amount in the tailings of others. I been keeping a eye out and have only seen one online shop have 2 in stock. Of course i didnt have the money to blow at the time and they both sold quick. Are they discobtinued?
  3. Man this bungy is nice! Adjust length easily, at the top or bottom, and is very fast to slap on another detector, very well thought out. Only screwed up one thing Doc, u made them to tough i wont ever need to buy another bungy again, this things gonna last forever.lol
  4. Nice looking bungy doc. Just ordered from u on ebay i hope this was what u were talking about. Im a fan of allot of ur tools, i love my gold screamer kit been at least 3yrs of abuse and im still on original batteries. Thanks
  5. he keeps yelling at me every time I call it my sluice. so I guess I didn't get a new toy.lol.
  6. finally got one of these units. first impressions are very good. I love how nice the legs unfold and have many different positions very easy to set up, even for the first time. I had about three 6" dredge trips and allot of misc samples from different areas, and I've already panned all this and then ran it thru my junky gem stone sluice. ( of course my three yr old boy ran by and dumped a litle sniffer botle in that had some black sand and gold.lol. so it kinda reun the test I was trying to achieve. this thing can run allot of cons fast, I could throw two scoops of damn near all black sand with no problems. I got the new version with one big pump. it has a flare to turn it into a regular sluice, 2 diferent clasifyers and two different sets of rifles. the riffles for cons fits allot looser so I'll probally just use the bigger riffles for everything. all in all its a nice light weight set up that will work perfect for sampling creeks that arnt flowing or a fast way to knock down cons from my 6. I havnt used the cube but I could see where it would be better on dredge cons. ill eventually have both and do some test.
  7. this has been bugging me for awhile, and I can't find any info on it. so I totally get how a bigger mono coil gets better depth over a small mono, but I don't see how there's any gain from going big on a dd, the ground coverage is obviously gonna be more but I don't see how there's much depth gain if any? looking at minelab web page here. thanks https://www.minelab.com/go-minelabbing/treasure-talk/gold-detector-coils-explained-for-minelab-s-gpx-and-gpz-series-detectors
  8. I am to curious about this coil. I use a 14" elite mono and have great luck, punches deep, excellent on small gold...... really happy with it. I do need a big, best depth coil just to check all my spots. I was researching the nugget finder 25" mono and seen a video on the detech 15" coil out punching the 25. kinda thru me a curv ball, I was set on the 25 but if I can do the same with a smaller coil then ill get that. I'm just waiting on more info
  9. what would the best big coil be? sounds like the nf25 is popular. I have 14"elite and love it, I want something big to check all my spots. I know I'd love the 18 elite but I figured if I'm gonna get a big coil and deal with it just to check spots, well why not get the biggest
  10. so at what point if any is a dd Better then a mono? I have a gpx 4500 with elite 14" ,a great combo, I know my machine well and have never had a problem tunning it. i recently got a claim that has very hot ground so hot that i sometimes have to turn it down below factory presets in enhanced with a mono, I have been wondering if any gains can be achieved by running a dd with higher setting and different soil timmings? thanks
  11. lol not big by any means but WAS a sun baker. worked my butt off for a couple days only to find a few pounds of trash, I tossed my detector down out of frustration and noticed it right there next to the gpx.lol. at least it got me laughing and to quit complaining.hahaha
  12. yes especially when on a motorcycle. I did convert that xp deus shaft I got from u, but it still stuck out of my pack just enough to catch tree branches and yank me off the bike. plus it didn't like big coils. xp is now the hip stick
  13. thank you for the review, it convinced me to get one. I agree quality is good and I love how long it is. I gained a couple inches over my stock fox shaft.
  14. I usually tend to over do things.lol. What saw would u recommend to mount to the lewis?
  15. I'm in need of something like this for my 6" dredge cons. I think i like it better then the cube setup. Do u think the recovery is just as good as the cube?
  16. I love my ocean reefe full face mask. Sometimes I have trouble getting it to seal just right, but still way better then chewing on a mouth piece the whole time. I have a smaller head I probally could use a smaller size of they even offer one. Or shave muy beard. Lol
  17. Great thanks for the info im gonna definently get a lewis. I got a brand new stihl 461 that can be direct mount and loose that little chain or I have a handful of other saws, but I like the idea of directly mounting it. Seems like that little chain would get wore out fast.
  18. I've seen the rule but it has lower ratings then the Lewis. I have a older homelite that looks like the rule and it's ran by a litle rubber belt. It can't even lift itself off the ground, lol! I tried to take it apart to fix it but it was a pain!
  19. How does the lewis winch work for moving boulders? I'm about to order one. I've used 12v winches for a long time and it worlds great minus the battery factor. I was worried with the Lewis not having reverse like a electric winch, that id get it stuck
  20. Awsome thank you. As always very helpful steve.do u know if tiger flex sh is compatible with proline adapter? Yes even in this hot whether this hose is very stiff. I was thinking ad 10-15' of very flexible hose so I can at least maneuver the end of it, then when I'm in tight/shallow spots only use the short hose. I would of loved a shorter hose last time out.lol. as u can see was a tight spot. Ended up just having to go thru the belly because telling were backing up to fast. Do u have 9hp motors on ur 6 or 6.5hp?
  21. I know, this has already been gone over but im looking for the most flexible not the toughest like most people want. Hello I'm looking for 6" suction hose. I have a proline 6" dredge and the hose I have is tough which means stiff. I'm trying to find the most flexible suction hose with matching ribs on the out side that is compatible with proline thing that threads on the outside of hose. I would like to add a 10' very flexible section. And sometimes use just the 10' for tight spots maybe even get 15'. Thanks in advance.
