  1. I am bummed nobody is yet making coils for the axiom:( would love to get a round mono 18 and see what it can do with depth and big gold. The 16 mono has done well so far nothing to deep yet..., still has sensitivity to small gold, only weighs a small amount more then the 13 if u don't use the coil cover. Wonder if a gpx coil converter plug could be made!
  2. I have been noticing the same thing. In ground I was running my monos in fine gold, the dd 11x7 was terrible and had to be in normal or large. Normal seemed to work the best. Was really surprised as with all my gpxs I've had was just the opposite with dds and monos, but it's not a gpx and a beast of its own...
  3. I've used the smaller one for a long time now and love it, can stuff about 2oz of gold in it, which has only happen a couple of times. I put my ear plugs in it to, just in case I need too shoot my snub nose 357. I didn't know there's a bigger one I might have to upgrade as with the ear plugs and on a golden day it in can get crowded.
  4. After owning the axiom for about 8months and only using monos with great success I decided to treat myself in a trashy site to only digging non ferrous targets and hey it worked! In middle of about 20 pieces of trash I could clearly hear something shining thru, low and behold 10 or so beautiful gold pieces. Half went with a friend that was with me, my half in the picture. Ended up digging every target in the pike for 2 day as I thought we were on some high grade ore but all the gold was sitting right on top with lots of trash.lol
  5. I've used mine prospecting. No gold yet but only dug none ferrous targets... anyone of those deep bullets could have been a nugget...
  6. I ordered one for my axiom and love how it collapses so when I'm hiking out of my spots or have it in a pack the swing arm isnt sticking out. I was very disappointed when I got it and it was only setup for left hand use as I swing my detector with my left hand. I thought maybe I missed it in the discription but there was nothing explaining it. They did respond right away and offer to attempt to make me one for right hand use if I agreed to pay shipping but I declined as my old gpz swing end tip fit nicely on the end. The handle is a litle small for my big hands but I wear xl gloves, it is definently more comfortable then holding a ball or straight handle. Build quality looks good
  7. Looking to buy a used mono 16 or 11 for the axiom....
  8. So this has been a yard orndimat for many years and I'm sick of not really knowing what it is. How can one find out what something is and what's its value. Its none magnetic and very heavy for its size.
  9. http://gerrysdetectors.com Ive got all my detectors from Gerry, and did his feild training in nevada. Very glad i did the training as i was very overwhelmed when i first purchased my gpx, and can honestly say i probally wouldnt have been as succesfull without it.
  10. I lost my scoop about a year ago and finally ordered a new one. With out it my headphones would always get picked up by the coil, wasnt to bad but i always found myself leaning away and reaching. Scoop gets it about perfect distance away. Just wish they would make one with a few real riffles in it to pan out the fines.
  11. I have tge garret z link setup and the wireless headphones with docs gold screamer kit. Works good, love being wireless. My buddy is stuck on keeping his factory crap on his and he swears its better, but every time we go thru brush he hangs up constantly.lol. i just laugh and slide thru it all. What other wireless setup have anyone used on gpx? Z link works but there can always be better. I was wondering about the ghost? The wireless headphones is the way i think, i tried having a transmitter and reciever, and pluging headphones into one, but it was annoying with all the extra headphone cord.
  12. I took the training a few years back when i first started detecting. It was a huge help and gave me allot better understanding on allot of stuff, not just details about the machine i was useing "gpx5000". After, i had everything i needed to know to get beeping with my new machine. Well worth it. Thank u to gerry and his crew.
  13. I have one. I still perfer my regular old pan, but thats what im used to. Would fit in a pack allot better
  14. It would be way to much im sure, there already priced higher then here. Ill keep watching on ebay for a used one, if not they should be back in production next year, thats what ive learned anyway. Patend changed names is the reason for the shortage. I got christmass presents to get anyway. Thanks tho
  15. Darn thought i had one! Ive only been on the hunt for one since last year. I attemted calling and didnt get ahold of anyone, so i went ahead and ordered ordered off the website (showed 1) on the 5th, last time i seen 2 in stock online i waited 1 day to buy and missed out. Lol. But go ahead and dont refund and keep it as a donation towards earth quake damages. I hope all is well over there. If u do come up on one even used please keep me in mind.
  16. Struvk out with armidillo also. They got 5 on order and dont know when or if theyre coming in. The pattend switched hands and dont know when theyll be back in production
  17. Great thank u i knew i this was the place to ask. I have a couple other dredgers thats seen them in action and would love to have one also. I almost got a angus mackirk at one point, and im sure they work and the owner was real nice, but ive used the le trap and really really liked it, hate to get something a litle different when it just seemed perfect.
  18. Thank u for the info guys. The NZ shop dosnt shop here. Ill give alaksa mining a shot when i got money to blow. Ive found them twice once on ebay and once on carolina mining somethin. Of course by the time i had the cash they sold. Kinda over priced now that there rare, ive been told they were only 90-$100. When i used it i was able to put my proline 6 sluice completly back together and just set it on top of my rifle system, run 1 motor at idle. Ive done the same with ez sluice, and a pretender le trap sluice had a litle different drop rifle system, i could watch the gold go right passed each rifle and out the end.lol. even treid the ez and then the copy cat and still lost some. Brought my keene mini max out once and it worked but made more work.....
  19. Ya thats exactly what i was talking about. Thank u. I here ya seems odd having to cut it, its pretty flimsy to but it worked amazing. I just want it to drop it in my dredge sluice to knock down my cons to carry out. It works amazing , fast, and is easy to clean out. Most importantly didnt have a spec in the tailings, i meen it wasnt a huge cleanout, maybe a 1/4"oz but everything else i treid always lost sum.
  20. Some buddies of mine that were dredging down streem from me last year let me use there letrap to do a cleanup from my 6, and man it worked great! Not a spec in the taillings and ive tested several other sluices and has found a disapointing amount in the tailings of others. I been keeping a eye out and have only seen one online shop have 2 in stock. Of course i didnt have the money to blow at the time and they both sold quick. Are they discobtinued?
  21. Man this bungy is nice! Adjust length easily, at the top or bottom, and is very fast to slap on another detector, very well thought out. Only screwed up one thing Doc, u made them to tough i wont ever need to buy another bungy again, this things gonna last forever.lol
