Norvic
Dunno, our Triantiwontigong is a savage beast, but once you`ve got him onside he eliminates all competition. Reminds me of a visiting customer a few years back, as the Missus was accompanying him down to workshop, he kept walking closer to her for protection because the family dog looked fierce. The closer he got the more the dog objected. Tis the nature of the beast. For a fee, I can export one over for you, along with the next shipment of ferrites perhaps. I can imagine the Z is not ideal for trashy areas, but in virgin country tis a beauty.

tvanwho
Believe it or not, but I think I had 2 Bigfoot run ins already in the flatlands of Illinois, in heavy woods. Don't really want another . Both times I was out hunting gold or treasure and alone. I am packing bottle rockets for next adventure in the woods, whenever that might be, and a 50x zoom camera. I envy you guys and your gold patches .we don't have anything like that where I live. -Tom
Rye Patch Ron
I have hunted right under power lines and the 7000 was very quiet.
klunker
The lines I was attempting to work near were transmission lines probably 70,000 volts or so. Haven't tried detecting around distribution lines with much lower voltages. next time that I am back in that area I will fiddle around with settings a bit more.
