Was slipping and sliding on a steep slope all day, but nothing but square nails and a bit of lead.....then at about 3, as I was making my way back up, I got another target. Moved some rocks and dug, figuring it's going to be my Zillionth square nail....so I looked up to the sky, sweat stinging my eyes, and asked the Gold God for just a baby piece of CA gold to start my nugget-hunting vacation with. And Holy Crap! This beautiful rough CA slug plops into my hand! Biggest I ever found!
