I am with you there Steve, when park hunting that IDs a must, can`t go digging up the turf. But when on gold, in the country I detect lead is mainly the only signal that`s not gold. eg This morns hunt the ratio of lead to gold was 50/50 (15 gold 15 lead) with two boot nails. Not tougher, just don`t have the amount of rubbish with the gold in my area, posts on this subject on this forum have shown this. PS.... I`m talking of the fringe area I prospect not those in OZ that hold much higher human population now and back in history.

Doubt whether a gold detectors discrimination will differentiate between lead & gold (in all its forms) but I only doubt, ML may prove me dead wrong in the future. That would be a godsend.
