333 = 8k Gold

I think I have a 10kt chain, it had an iron pendent and a copper clasp, I took the non gold bits off and it weighed 2.75g

But, my friend dosnt think its 10k, he watched me do the acid test and he said he thinks its gold filled, because some of the mark didn't degrade but some did

 

I didnt know what gold filled is, till I looked it up, it means like plated, but instead of having a thin plating like normal plated stuff, it has a thick plate that is 5% of the weight is gold in a gold filled object

 

I think I'll make my own thread on the chain right now to get all yalls opinions

8k can really look tarnished.. I once found a ring that looked so bad, I initially thought it's silver.
Turned out it was 333 - found it on 15.09 and it had written 15.09 in it (wedding band) - it wanted to be found!

This has the same 2-letter mark that Okara's has, can you read yours ??

Funny - just remembered, I‘ve found a twins pendant 3 years ago. I don‘t know where it is at the moment, but I‘ve found some photos of it:

It is also marked 333 and stamped „FB“, so it‘s from the same manufacturer, which is probably „Franz Breuning“
