Thanks Fogrider, sorry I missed replying to your post, I try to answer all. 🙂 My house was built in 2007, this area was purchased to build a large community but it never happened. A few years ago the old farms in front of my house were sold to a farmer who lives in another county but owns 200 acres not too far away as well. I hunted my own yard first, found some old stuff like buttons and musket balls, and got completely hooked on detecting. I retired in 2021, and got permission to every farm space that farmer owns. 🤯 Some farms are 45 minutes away. The farmer is without a doubt the nicest and most generous individual I have ever met. I found a 1690 Spanish 1 Reale cob in a field right in front of his house, offered it to him, and he said "You dug it, you keep it". Wow.
