Advice For Smaller Coil - Eqionx 800

Recommended Posts

I like the Coiltek 5x10.   It's a good compromise that keeps things light overall vs. the 11" but still with decent swing coverage at 10" in length so I don't have to feel like I have to tip toe around like with the 6" round but with decent separation with its 5" width.  It is surprisingly deep despite it's smallish footprint.  I keep it permanently attached to my Nox.  If I need to go deep, then I would simply use the 11" or the bigger 15" coils.  I find it more versatile than the 6" round coil.

Welcome to the forum Mr. Metal,

I second the choice of the Coiltek 10x5, it's still on my Equinox 600. If you search the forum for 10x5 (alternately 5x10), you'll bring up lots of stuff I found with that combination.

My vote would also go for the Coiltek 10x5,it's such a versatile coil.

The 10x5 works great on my 800 and gives me plenty of depth for the hard to find items. Works great on the sides of a creek, under metal fences at ball fields, and gets the job done.

Thank you guysfor quick answers.. I see that Coiltek 10x5  would be the best thing to choose 🙂

Altough, i would need some time to get use to the different shape of coil 🙂

Not really as when I took mine out for the first time it felt natural and was hitting everything it went over. The only thing I had to watch was the ID numbers were a bit lower than normal.

Hope I'll get use to it.. just order one!

I tried my friends machine ( X-terra pro ) with elliptical coil.. I was a little bit sceptical, because VDI is going crazy if target is not under the center of the coil..

Ok.. machine is different than eq 800, and its a large coil..

We will see..
