  1. Well looking at all the coils that will work with both detectors I see I’m only missing the 13” Detech. I sure like the 7” Detech coil for a lot of my detecting. I would like the Detech 13 for beach hunting . Just maybe I can put it on my wish list for Christmas. Remember that if you draw my name. Chuck
  2. I have the SPP now and if it wasn’t for the recharge batteries one couldn’t afford using it. You take the MX 7 or Sport they give you 20 hours hunt time and the other maybe 4 to 5 hrs. White’s is wanting to sell a product as low as possible and everything you add jacks up the price. It’s not stopping anyone from buying what they want. Chuck PS it’s whatever makes you happy or whatever blows your dress up.
  3. If it wasn’t for the rain and waterproof I’d say they got to be twins. Just the MX 7 was born later. Another detector at a great price that I’m trying to get a friend to buy when it comes available. Chuck
  4. I had a business I used air guns and I had to drain the water out of the tank each day. If I didn’t the air guns would lockup because of the water buildup . if you got a dredge with air then drain the air tank each day and save you trouble down the road. Chuck
  5. I say listen to Steve being he’s been there and done that. It’s best to be safe than sorry. Chuck
  6. Years ago before waterproof I drop a detector in freshwater and it went under. I pick it up and poured the water out. Then went to my car and turned the heat on to dry it out. After about 20 mins. I was detecting again. The first thing is disconnect the batteries right away. Anything is waterproof until water gets in it and it can happen to the best of detectors. Chuck
  7. I’d say pull the batteries and work the on off button several times. To me it’s sticking maybe half on off. Do like Steve said and contact White’s. Be sure to include serial number of unit. They may send you a shipping label . I wish we could be more helpful . Chuck
  8. If it's freezing up it has to be that the compressor is pulling in moister but you can get a filter for that. I think ! Looks colder than a well diggers butt. Chuck
  9. Tom I see you have a concentric coil on the MX 7. You have other coils for the MX Sport will this hold true for the MX 7 ? I think I have all you put out for the Sport and I went back to get the 7 inch after market coil White's sell. I say you when referencing to White's but when I talk with you ,you are White's. Glad to have you on here being you've always been so helpful when the need arise. Chuck PS Tom thanks for the video
  10. Okay guys to you that plan on buying this detector can see when sitting down it sits on the front edge of the control box. If you will go and look at the stand I made for the Gold Monster should work well on the MX 7. I just don't like to see my money on the ground like that and I don't have to have it covered in mud to find coins. So many great buys on detectors but so little money to buy them with. Just to let all know I'm putting myself up for adoption. The only request I have if want to adopt me that you have lots of money. I just have one bad habit and that is I like to eat good. Oh I forgot one other thing and that is I like buying every new detector that comes out. Just take a number being I sure it's going to be a long line. You didn't know you could stack bull____ up 6 feet high ! Chuck
  11. Hey Steve Did you get the release date will be Halloween? He said it had to do with the color and it being orange it's got to be Halloween. It may not be waterproof but rain proof is not a bad thing. It's been lots of times I wish I had one that was rain proof. Now if I could only turn back time say 50 years with the detector we have now. The only down side of all these detectors being at a great price like they are is all the little rug rats can afford them too. Chuck
  12. Steve I too said that coil has got to be a concentric coil on the picture I posted off Lost Treasure. The coil Tom has on it looks like a DD coil of what I can see on his video. I think it may be the same coil that the MX Sport comes out with. I was looking on White's site and I see they still have the M6 with the same price as the MX 7. I'd say M6 needs to pack it's bag and leave. It will be interesting to see just what the MX 7 has to offer. I can't see it match what the MX Sport has to offer but as sure I'm saying that I'll be wrong. With the bright color around the face may be saying I'm waterproof. What I see with White's ,Garrett and Minelab us buyers money is getting more for less. On some detector I'm paying less than I did back in 1991 with my Eagle 2 and getting so much more. DetectingMo I can see what you're talking about but for me I'd have to try it . Chuck
  13. DetectingMo I can't say being I never had a Treasure Pro but I do have the MX Sport and it works for me. I think that's what it's all about what you don't like and what I don't like too but here comes this guy is crazy about it. Now if I could have my way all would come with a straight shaft and a stand that keep it out of the dirt. I just don't understand why they don't call me before they put a model out. Here's my number B R 5-5555. Chuck PS The B R may be over some kids but when dial first came out you had to dial two letters first before the number. The type of equipment was called a step office back when. History Lesson.
  14. steveg I found out long ago it cost just a little more to go first class and that is why I too went with the 800. My trouble now is I find myself each day looking all over the net for any word about the big day we'll get it. The Best Chuck
  15. GB It's great to go to the Gold Shows that GPAA puts on and I have been doing it for years. I can't remember if we had more than one in Texas but I went to it. I can't count the number of times I've been to the ones in Arizona. The longest trip was to Washington State and the whole family went that time and that was in 97. The only trouble they got more new equipment than money in my pocket. The best part is if your gold fever is starting to fade nothing better than a show to build it back up again. The Best on the next one. Chuck
  16. Steve The detector was seen for a short time on the video that Tom from White's just posted. No time machine but always get my copy some what early. If you get it you will find on page 56 a article by Joe Patrick on the AT Max. Then on the front page is the words Ghost Town Metal Detecting. On the color some may call it red but I call it more orange than red. Whatever the color White's is calling the detector MX 7. You may remember when I reported about Minelab coming out with a new detector called SDC 2300. I'd got the info from Lost Treasure and nobody believe what I said. Oh well. Here I am again and don't forget the 95 cents at the end.haha The Best Steve Chuck
  17. Maybe someone else can find the video but I can't .It could be that White's has yet to put it out being I got my Lost Treasure so early. The face of the MX 7 looks like the MX Sport and has a box under the arm rest the same as the M 6. The color around the face was carried over to part of the shaft. Chuck
  18. Well I received my December 2017 mag from Lost Treasure today and just on the inside of the first page is the new MX 7. This has to be the same detector that Tom has been swinging around with a orange ring around the face. White's is offering you a look at the detector by way of a video on their site. The only thing said is a test was done with a 8.5 gram 14K gold ring at 14 inches saying gonna need a bigger shovel. I guess to find out more we all need to look at White's video on this detector. Chuck 10/30 edit - you can find the latest White’s MX7 Details & Specifications Here White's MX7 metal detector
  19. Hi Tom I have the SPP and like the SL it's under power. I've got the battery pack and added one more battery in the same pack without any trouble. Then I added another 4 pack of AA's but bypass the extra battery I put in the main pack. I too have the small coil as you from Miner John and a great coil it is. The danger of this is too much juice on the power side to run your detector. I check the voltage before hooking up to my detector. I can't say I get more run time being the detector so under powered to start with. If it does give it more time in the field it's nothing to write home about. It would had been better if the same battery that was used in the TDI been used here. I'm sure it had to do with cost but sometimes you can go too cheap and this is one of them. Chuck
  20. Tom When I needed help you and Dilek was there to give me that help. The detectors I got from each of your companies will be always be special because each of you made it that way. I thank you ! Chuck Anders
  21. I've had more detectors in the last 10 years than the 40 before. Some I still have but others was sold only to buy another. This time to put money down for the Equinox not one detector left home to buy it. I'm not saying I'll keep all of them but in the case of a coin detector I'll have a backup and on the nugget side it's backup, backup plus backup. What can I say other than I just can't help myself. Rob had a killer price on a 7000 because of a damage box and I told him I had to stop reading about it. My reasoning is I keep salivating over my key board when I'd read about it. Now I've got my money down and as I read more about the Equinox I find my self doing the same. I've told anyone when in heat don't promise anything rash and this is what's call Heat Rash. This is where I find myself as I hear more about the Equinox. In a state of heat rash. Write this down someplace; A detector is not a toy but a tool that we all need at one time are another for different applications. Chuck
  22. That's great you got it back so soon but the day is not over and you have no gold to show.haha The Best now you got it back home. Chuck
  23. Steve Minelab isn't saying a word more than what's already been said. Like you were saying until they make another info dump we won't know. Right now I'd be happy to know if they made a change to the stand for the better. The one they had for show and tell looked too much like the Gold Monster stand. If I can make one I'm sure I can make another. Chuck
