  1. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. None other than the Tarsacci. Thanks JCR for your post. Chuck
  2. I ran the Tarsacci a few hours this morning for the first time in several months. The plan was to see if any deep targets were left on the wet conductive areas of my Swim Park site that have been scraped by the dozer. Many spots are still so boggy you can barely walk on them. I did find a few things but nothing very good. The point was to use the strength of a detector for these conditions. While not a saltwater beach, it is surprising how conductive this ground is when wet. The Tarsacci can really shine here. I was able to run it almost flat out on 12 kHz with the big coil and it was very stable & smooth. I really enjoy using Mixed Mode and have learned that keeping the Disc @-30 so the low tone from the Disc channel comes in with the All Metal response really helps me judge the targets purity. It was nice to get back in the groove with this unique unit.
  3. Does anyone know if there is a coil support made for Tarsacci? Any other thoughts?
  4. Well u have atlantic and pacific oceans lots of shipwrecks and treasures lurking in the jungle . Issue is that strip of the country full of that tar looking black sand that glitters magically during full moon. I dont want to spend 3k on a machine and if i do will it work🤔 equinox 6 and 8 will die on the spot, the manticore and even the deus 2 will fall very ill in these beaches . The Tarsacci ive always seen in kelly store but i dont know anybody who owns it so i cannot say. Advanced Pi is my only option that or aquamans echo location.
  5. Ah, Panama. This is the reason I never bought a place in Panama. My Black Sand is nowhere near that bad. I think your only choice would be a PI machine, which I have no experience with. If I had to rank how the newest machines worked on my beach it would be. Tarsacci, close second the Equinox and Manticore [TIE] and the worst is the Deus2. We will soon be testing a Rutus.
  6. My Equinox 600 gets real chatty on black sand, but my Tarsacci is whispery quiet. Doesn't seem to affect the depth much either. Your conditions look extreme, so I'm not sure you'll get the same results...good luck!
  7. The last time I was texting Mr Gargov I ask him if he would discontinue the backpack and cut the price of the Tarsacci but his comeback was it’s free. I didn’t say more because I knew it was his way of saying no . I found some info about Mr Gargov and some of his accomplishments and who he worked for over the years. It said he worked for Fisher Research in Los Banos developing the Fisher ID,Fisher Gold Strike and the Fisher Coin Strike. It don’t say if he worked for First Texas when they bought out Fisher but I think he did before he went on his own to make the Tarsacci. When he said the backpack was free I wanted to come back saying it’s nothing free in this world but no is no . Maybe we need to start a rumor about something new coming out about the Tarsacci . If nothing else it would give us something to wish for and at the same time keep the Tarsacci forum alive. Steve posted this to let me know that I was beating a dead horse and I’m at it again. Chuck
  8. Monday,3/25, I sent a message to Dimitar via the Tarsacci website that I wanted to buy another 12" beast coil. Dimitar answered within one hour with payment instructions for the new coil. I paid Monday night and the new coil arrived at my house today, Friday 3/29. I can not be more pleased with the service from Dimitar and Tarsacci.
  9. Steve, Please do not nuke the Tarsacci forum. I am dealing with elderly parents currently and trying to get myself into a position where I can spend more time on the beach. I will post and with the Tarsacci I know it will be posts of wonderful finds. Hang in there Steve, better days with the Tarsacci are coming and will be posted.
  10. I was able to get away for a couple days this week. Shipped my detector and scoop to a friend who lives in Charleston and flew down on Thursday night. I was able to hunt on Friday and Saturday and fly home Sunday, (today). Targets were few and far between, with the beach seemed to be upside down. Most of the bottle tops and pull tabs being at low tide line and sinkers and gold about mid beach. The larger ring is 14k and the smaller ring is 10k. Nothing toward the towel line. The iPhone was about 10 inches down mid beach and charged up nicely. Also with the phone was a driver's license and a debit card. I will mail those back to the owner tomorrow. For me the Tarsacci is just a great beach detector.
  11. Overall, I will use probably use the Legend more hours than the Versa. The Versa is my primary choice for the more difficult conditions; very heavy iron trash, deeper targets in mineral red dirt, but I will have worked the Legend there too. The Legend would be my first choice for hunting in Aluminum trash, but I will later go back with the Versa. These are the scenarios that I have found where one has an advantage over the other for me. Except for in these "special" conditions, both machines are neck & neck on performance. Both are equally rugged. Like any detectors, each will "see" things the other will miss. That is why I will use both on a site. That is why I will also work a good site with the Tarsacci, Vista X and/or some of my other units. They each have unique qualities. That is why I will also try to get Nokta's relic PI they are to introduce.
  12. I’m thinking about getting another Tarsacci and I’m wondering has the Tarsacci had any updates what’s so ever? I’m hoping maybe some improvement on the volume when in discrimination mode? How about a smaller coil are is that ever too be ?I think I should have said never to be on the coil. Surely something has changed ? I haven’t checked the price just maybe it’s lower! I’ve seen more activity in a funeral home than on the Tarsacci forum. Lay it on me guys in what’s new on the Tarsacci. Chuck
  13. I wonder if after GBing out hot rocks...the detector will see a nonferrous target through the hot rocks? I think the Tarsacci does something like that.
  14. In doing a little Bench test last night I find Recovery Speed does have a larger impact on BE mode than the normal Tone ID modes, at least in air testing. The overall sensitivity, audio & TID, (in air) is less than the Tone ID modes also on small coin size targets. This may change in mineralized ground. Audio Gain level also has a big impact. This is very reminiscent of the Gen D on my Anfibio Multi. I never could get it to run as well as the normal Disc Tone ID Modes. It just seemed weak The At Max All Metal mode, the MXT Relic mode, Tarsacci Mixed mode & the Rutus Versa Dual modes are much more sensitive and very usable in the field, I still question the absence of a Threshold Tone. It is an important adjustment on the other detectors mentioned(except the Tarsacci). The same for SAT. One thing I will have to remember about BE mode is that the Disc setting acts a a Tone Break and TID block. With the Iron Reject tone, that is really 3 tones to keep up with and how the mode functions & reacts is a pretty good shift from the normal Tone ID modes. I will get on the ground more with it next. I also want to see what the Versa's EMI Preview screen will show for BE mode TX frequency.
  15. The Tarsacci is a detector I kick myself for selling it and the guy I sold it to then that person sold it not too long after he bought it from me. He later told me he wish he hadn’t. What they say Best loved and lost than not loved at all. I don’t think they were talking about detectors. They should have! Chuck
  16. Chuck, I completely agree with your opinion on the coil choices. On heavier mineralization or heavy trash areas, the original coil is my preferred choice, but on Carolina beaches, the Beast coil is so much better. Different tool for different projects. I guess the point I was trying to make is that I have been more than satisfied with Dimitar and Tarsacci. The machine is really great in my view and the service I have received from the company has been wonderful. This is not the machine for everyone and every condition, but in the right situation, the Tarsacci is hard to beat. Happy Hunting.
  17. Stalker I wish you the best with your new coil the beast . I had bought the Tarsacci with the beast coil and then later ordered the stock coil. For me I was happy with the stock coil more so than I was with the beast. If I ever buy back into the Tarsacci again I’ll stick with the stock one. You may not know this but we have a dealer on here for the Tarsacci. He’s the one that sales the carbon fiber shafts for the major detectors and goes bye Steveg . I think I’m correct on the name. Let us know later down the road your opinion of the beast. Chuck
  18. Dancer That is odd you didn’t get a response back because he’s always responded back right away. The guy on here that sales detector rods is a dealer for Tarsacci and sign’s on Steveg maybe could help you. Who knows the only way you can get new washers is buy a new Tarsacci. It is good to hear from you Dancer and I hope you doing great out there just a swinging. It would help if you find something that gets the heart beating faster. Take care! Chuck
  19. I emailed Tarsacci about buying a couple sets of bolts and washers for my coils. Silence
  20. The future is IN the water, beaches are getting over detected and we end up eating the crumbs..................... i got Manti D2 and tarsacci and i m taking every session as a workout rather than a potential fortune changing opportunity hahhhahhah RR
  21. When Dimitar and myself were texting each other I wanted to say something about your video I’ve seen before you posted it here. I ask him if he had any updates and he replied back that he had none. I wanted so much to say like you fixed Aaron’s Tarsacci but I think I said to you I wouldn’t. I found a dealer in California show’s he will ship free but if you get anything from Dimitar you will pay shipping. One thing about it we are myself don’t have to buy from him because all the other detector companies are bending over backwards to get our business . I will say the Tarsacci is well built and solid as a rock in construction than some others on the market. The problem it will be moved over to the dead file at the rate it’s going. Chuck
  22. Totally agreed on the audio & marketing. I had posted this video of a Tarsacci I have w modified audio, on YouTube awhile back. The high tone and mid tones a totally distinct. This is the way they ALL should be, as people would be far more happy w it.
  23. Tarsacci has the worst audio! My tarsacci still resets itself when I’m hunting after sending it to Dimitar for a check up. Dimitar needs to make some changes with more testing. Not worth the $1500 I paid. I heard Dimitar tried to pitch the tarsacci to first texas detectors but was shot down that’s when he decided to out on his own. He knows nothing about marketing.
