How Would You Like To Run Into This Big Boy Out Detecting?

I didn't take these photos the homeowner took them in Augusta. I haven't seen one bear this year so far. A friend and rancher here said the reason you aren't seeing the black bears is because the grizzlies here are killing them. He found two carcasses already this spring and summer.

Now, to prepare for my adventure into the American wilderness, I’ll just need a tiny little can of pepper spray and some tiny little bells on my shoes.  Correct?

And how do I know I’m in bear country? ?

Easy. Piles of grizzly dung will smell like pepper spray.

One of my favourite jokes, that I first heard on DP forum.

There is a pic from the front of the shed and a pic from the back. That suggests the photographer went around to the back of the shed to get a pic of the sleeping bear, assuming that's the order they were taken.  Hopefully they had a tank to drive around to get these.
